Chapter 26. A heart of gold, turned black.

NARRATOR P.O.V

It's been a week since Y/N have made his alliance with E.H and recruited the Exotic squad. He is making plans for the retaking of the surface. He knows he can pull them off but he's gonna need the support of the Central Government or at the very least, many powerful allies. That is the big problem. He doesn't know how to gain their trust.

A couple days ago, Y/N recieved strange news from the infirmary. They found something strange in his blood. Oddly enough, Syuen found out and offered herself to investigate this matter further. Having no time to dedicate to this when he has a war to win, he agreed.

As we speak, Y/N is in his room with 2B, Marian and Jackal who's eating a burger and sitting on the leather couch watching television. 2B and her small group all made of Silence Nikkes returned from their mission. Since Heavenly Ascension has stopped their actions and the Queens of the Underworld are at peace (for now) protection in the Gold Coin Rush Casino is no longer necessary.

He is in his computer, learning more about Nikke production. He believes that, cloning Nikkes could be one key to manufacter an army capable of defeating the raptures. The problem is not just how but rather, how to do so without NIMPH in their brains.

Y/N:"2B, the YoRHa models. Are they humans with augmentations just like the other Nikkes or actually built?"

2B:"We were built, sir. We YoRHa models are quite expensive to make, that's why there's so few of us. But yes, we are indeed built. Do you wish to speak of the more intricate details?"

Y/N:"No. That is enough."

Marian:"Sir, Sin and Guilty have arrived at the Rehab center as we spoke for their weekly report."

Y/N:"Good. Is everything okay?"

Marian:"They are being tested. However Mana granted me access to the cameras. Both seem to be at ease. Specially Sin."

2B:"She is strangely loyal for a criminal."

Y/N:"The only ones that worry me are Guilty and A2. Specially A2 since Mana hasn't granted her permission to be rehabilitated. I have to try Quency out at some point. Out of the three, she's the most sane."

Marian:"Bet it will be a piece of cake. If you managed to make Sin and Guilty behave, Quency shouldn't give you trouble."

Y/N:"We will see."

Before anything else could be said, Y/N recieves a call from Andersen. He picks it up and notices something strange. Andersen seems to be in distress.

Andersen:"Y/N, we don't have much time. You need to get your defenses ready."

Y/N:"What? What's going on?"

Andersen:"The Central Government. They launched an attack on The Outpost. They wish to retrieve Marian for their experiments. Triangle and hundreds of MPN's are on their way. You have a traitor amongst your ranks, Y/N. Someone have-"

The call gets cut, leaving Y/N in a state of shock and paranoia. Before he can order anything or his Nikkes can question him, explosions are heard within The Outpost sending everyone to the ground. Shifty can be heard screaming inside the Command Center. Y/N snapped out of it and gave orders.

Y/N:"2B! Get Shifty here, now! Jackal get your rocket launcher! Marian, stay with me at all costs! Give me a report!"

Everyone nods and does their thing, Jackal grabbing her rocket launcher and crouching behind the window to see outside. Marian looks at the cameras around the Outpost to see what's going on. 2B leaves the room and walks inside Shifty's to gently carry her inside the Commander's.
