The sun dipped low in the sky, casting an orange glow over the city. In the courtyard of a small house, an eleven year old boy named Ghazan stood beside the coffin of his father. His heart felt like it was breaking into a thousand pieces.Just a few days ago, they had been together, laughing and sharing stories. Now, silence filled the air, heavy and suffocating.
Ghazan's small hands trembled as he traced the polished wood of the coffin, his mind replaying the last moments he had with his father before he left the house to never come back alive.
He remembered his mother’s gentle laughter who had already left him and now he had to remember his father’s warm embrace. He had promised him he would always be there, but now he was gone, taken from him in a tragic accident.
He stood there silently with his gaze fixed at the coffin, tears streamed down his cheeks, blurring his vision. The world around him faded, and he felt lost in the world without his parents beside him.
He wanted to shout, to cry out against the unfairness of it all, but no sound escaped his lips. All he could do was stand in silence, feeling the weight of his grief pressing down on him.
Around him, a crowd of people murmuring softly. Some people placed their hands on his head, their faces drawn with sadness. He felt their pity, but it only deepened his loss.
He wished he could disappear, to be anywhere but here, where lies the harsh reality. The reality of death, the end.
Suddenly, he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see a familiar face, his father’s elder brother. Ahmed’s face was lined with sorrow, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"Ghazan" he said tenderly.
"I am so sorry for your loss" He continued.
Ghazan looked up and met his gaze. Ahmed saw emptiness in his eyes. His heart bled for the young boy who lost his world today.
"Why did he have to leave me alone?" he finally managed to ask, his voice choked with pain.
"I don’t know. I wish I could explain that but.." Ahmed replied, his voice heavy with emotion.
"Sometimes, life is cruel in ways we cannot comprehend. But you are not alone, Ghazan! I want to take care of you. You can come live with me" He patted his cheeks.
Ghazan's heart raced at the thought. Ahmed was kind, always telling funny stories and making him laugh whenever he would come to see them. But leaving his father's house behind felt like a betrayal.
"But…I can’t" he whispered.
"They’re gone. I can’t just forget them by leaving their house" He knew he had no one around him to take him to their house. His father and mother both were only child of their parents.
Ahmed knelt beside him, his eyes filled with understanding.
"You won’t forget him. He will always be a part of you. But you need someone to help you through this darkness. I promise to take care of you, to help you remember him"
Ghazan's heart was a storm of emotions fear, sadness, and a flicker of hope.
He looked back at the coffin, then into Ahmed’s eyes. Slowly, he nodded, feeling the weight of the decision to press on him like a heavy stone.
As the last rays of sunlight disappeared, Ahmed wrapped his arms around his thin frame. The warmth of the embrace felt like a lifeline, pulling him from the depths of despair.
"You are not alone in this. We will face this together. I will be here for you. Say goodbye to your father!" Ahmed murmured.
In the graveyard, Ghazan sobbed on his loss. It was heartbreaking to see his father lying in his grave. It was the last time he was ever seeing him.
Ghazan and Ahmed walked away from the graveyard, each step heavy yet filled with a fragile promise of a new beginning.
Ghazan took a deep breath, ready to face the challenges ahead, knowing that while his father was gone, but his love would always remain in his heart.
He didn't know his life would be changed once he entered the mansion where lived a princess who filled his simple life with poison.
A poison which corrupted his mind and heart.
He was watching out of the window, the room covered in darkness so is the outside world. It was late in the night and he was busy gazing the stars in the beautiful night sky.
He was missing his parents today more than ever because it was their wedding anniversary today. The whole day he kept looking at their wedding pictures after a few hours.
He lost his parents at a very young age but got the love of a man who was just like father to him.
His father and Ahmed were brothers. When his father got married, due to some family issues he got separated from his family and started living in a rented house with his wife and later they were blessed with a beautiful baby boy.
Ahmed never wanted his only brother to get in difficulty. He tried his best to help him but Ghazan's father was a very respectable man. He did everything on his own and supported his family. He wasn't wealthy as his brother but was at least happy in his little world.
Ghazan was now alone. He closed his eyes and a two pair of eyes appeared in his mind.
"You are the most beautiful man in my life"
A memory refreshed once again. Her beautiful eyes sparkling with life and innocence.
Not again, he was tired of everything.
Just a little backstory.
