in wednesday's and enid's room, orpheus paced in front of the two girls, eyes glaring down at wednesday. enid was unsure as to what was going on, orpheus hadn't said a word since he walked into their room, but he seemed very nervous; something that worried enid.
"okay, what's going on?" she finally asked, causing orpheus to finally come to a stop, "i asked xavier to the rave'n" he finally said, a frown on his face as he glared at his feet. "and he said no?" enid asked, confused.
"no! he said yes" with a huff, orpheus sat beside enid, resting his elbow on his knee. "then what's the problem?" the girl asked, glancing to wednesday in confusion, only earning herself a shrug. "i didn't want to go to the stupid dance" the boy huffed.
"okay, well..." enid was confused, unsure on what she could say but she was startled as orpheus stood up suddenly. "you're asking tyler to the stupid dance" he exclaimed, pointing down to wednesday, who began to frown. orpheus wasn't stupid, he had seen the way they looked at each other, especially how tyler looked at her. it was nauseating.
before wendesday could agree, enid leaped up from her seat with a squeal, "oh my god! wednesday and orpheus addams are going go the rave'n!" she exclaimed, "my whole world is tilted" she jumped excitedly.
"you know what you guys need now?" she asked, smiling widely. "a bullet to the head?" orpheus asked, frowning up at enid as wednesday scoffed at her excitement.
"a dress!" enid squealed, which caused orpheus to furrow his brows, "i have to wear a dress now?" he asked, eyes widening as he imagined himself in an ugly dress. "no! we'll get you a suit" the girl said, nodding excitedly as orpheus hummed in thought.
"i already have a dress" wendesday said, which caused a look of disgust to fill enid's face. "not the one you showed up here in! that thing was a fashion emergency not even lightning could resuscitate"
"thing, back me up here" enid turned to thing, who was flipping through wednesday's music pages. enid was met with a thumbs up that left wednesday glaring at him.
"you need something that screams 'first date. stand back bitches! i have arrived!' and i know just the place" enid squealed as she eyed wednesday, who had stayed silent for nearly the whole conversation. enid didn't seem to mind this as she began to get her backpack ready to leave.
she motioned for both wednesday and orpheus to do the same, but orpheus refused, instead laying back on wednesday's bed with a huff, "i need a nap after today" he muttered, laying his arm over his eyes.
"but you need a suit!" enid exclaimed, frowning down at him. "he could show up in rags and xavier would still praise him" wednesday muttered, staring down at her twin with an eye roll.
"off you go" he said, waving them off as he nestled into the bed, sighing in comfort. he didn't have to wait long as wednesday managed to convince a skeptical enid to leave, thing accompanying them.

note: orpheus is so girl boss, im trying to give him more character because i know wendesday's whole thing is the 'idgaf fuck emotions' shit but i want orpheus to be more his own person yk? and not a carbon copy of wednesday. that's kind of how this story was going in the beginning ngl but i alr have the next part planned for what happens next and it might not be pretty....😬
