I wake up in the grass, coughing up a ton of water.

“JOAN!” Misha yells, before running up to me, Tammie follows as well, looking really worried.

“Eughh..” I groan, I can't really talk. I cough up more water, as Misha rubs my back.

“I'M SO SORRY! WE DIDN'T NOTICE YOU, WE SHOULD'VE..YOU COULD'VE…” Tammie falls to her knees, hugging me tightly.

I see a girl I'm not familiar with standing over me, she was all wet.

“Are you okay? Oh god- Can you even breathe properly?” They say, placing their hands on my shoulders.

I can't respond, all I can really do is cough up more water.

The blonde girl I was unfamiliar with sat in front of me, grabbing my shoulders as I coughed up all the water in my system.

“*Cough Cough*.. ugh..what happened..” I was able to spew from my raspy sore throat.

“Someone pushed you into the water, I jumped in to save you..but I had to give you CPR.” They say.

“If..if Kathryn didn't jump in… you… You might have..” Misha doesn't finish her sentence, she just looks down in worry.

I cough a little bit more before replying with what hopefully sounds like.. ”Thank you..thank you so much..”

I guess their name was Kathryn.

I try to sit up on my own, although Tammie still keeps her hand on my back, supporting me.

“Let's get you to the infirmary..” Kathryn said, before she picked me up. I was kind of surprised to be carried like this not gonna lie, especially bridal style.

Tammie and Misha follow us, understandingly worried about me.

“I..I can walk in my own you know..” I muttered, feeling kind of embarrassed having to be carried like this.

“I don't think so, you almost drowned. And I'm not risking you trying to walk on your own.” Kathryn said.

“Besides, you're probably exhausted or something you dork. You can barely even swim properly at the creek.” Tammie said, agreeing with Kathryn.

They didn't send me home for the day, but it's okay. I felt fine after drinking some water anyway.

I put some biscuits and pastries I made on a small plate. Placing some plastic wrap over it and tying it together with a green ribbon.

“What's that for?” Misha asked, staring over my shoulder.

“I just wanted to thank that blonde girl, Katherine..was it?”

“I'll spell it for you, hang on.” Misha said, taking the pen and spelling the name correctly on the sticky note I added onto the plate of treats. I was sure nobody would be able to tell the difference since coincidentally, me and Misha had extremely similar handwriting.

“Thanks..you wanna come with me? Tammie can come too of course!” I ask Misha, placing the plates into my hands.

Me, Misha, and Tammie walk down to Kathryn's house. I was planning to just place it in their mailbox or something since I'm kinda shy, but Misha and Tammie convinced me to give them to her in person. I didn't really know where everybody's house was around the neighborhood, although everyone else did for some reason. Misha and Tammie walk me down to her house.
