“GET AWAY FROM ME JOAN!” Misha yelled. I had no idea what I had done to upset her.

“Misha? What did I-”

Before I could finish my sentence, she grabbed all her stuff and ran away as fast as she could.

I just stood there, shocked.

I was confused.

I felt sad.

I felt-

*Knock Knock Knock*

I knock on the door at Tammie’s house.

One of her moms answered the door.

“Hello Joan!” She greeted me. “Tammie's up in her room, feel free to go see her!”

I went up the stairs, I had to hold back everything so that I didn't fall to my knees and start sobbing.

I knock on Tammie's bedroom door.

“One second Mom!” She said.

She opened the door. “Oh- Joan!” She pulled me into a hug, we haven't seen each other for almost a week.

“What brings you here, Gluestick?” She asked. Even though the friend group was broken up, she still made sure to treat me the same as if everything was still normal.

“Hi, uhm. This is kind of important, can we discuss this in your room?”

“Of course!” She opens the door wider, allowing me to come inside.

She plopped onto her bed. “So, what's so important?” She asks.

I sit down on the chair at her desk. “So.. you know how Misha and Kathryn have been..kinda distancing themselves from us? Well, Kathryn still comes over sometimes..But you get the point.”

“Mhm?” She nods

“I know what's been going on.”

She sits upright, which is something she barely did.

I breathe in. “So, Kathryn has been…bullying Misha, or at least that's what I saw. I heard that she forced her to do all of her assignments. You know that notebook Misha wrote her novel in? Kathryn almost dropped it into a puddle and ruined it.”

Tammie looked shocked, I don't blame her though. I never thought Kathryn could be so cruel myself.

“..did you do anything about it?” She asked.

“Of course I did! She's my twin sister for Pete's sake. I snatched her notebook out of Kathryn's hand as fast as I could and screamed her a while ton! I might've been a little too over the top with my anger, but I had a right to. Didn't I?”

“No, you definitely had a right to be pissed. But what happened with Misha? Did she say anything about this?” Tammie asked.

“Actually, she acted a bit off..and I think she's mad at me.” I say, still feeling really guilty. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I messed up somehow with Misha and I just..

“Hm? What did she say?” Tammie asked.

“When I went to comfort her, she screamed at me to get away and ran..” I tell her, it still hurts me by how irritated she sounded. We've never fought like this before, not a day in our lives.

Tammie could probably tell I felt really guilty, because she put a hand on my shoulder to comfort me.

“Hey, look at me.” She asks, I do as she asked.
