luna leaned against the window of her apartment, watching the early evening sky fade from blue to a soft purple. her mind still lingered on her coffee "date" with nick from earlier that day. the photos had already surfaced online—just as expected—and olivia and ivory had been sending her every article, headline, and social media post about it. some fans were skeptical, others were already shipping "Lunick," and a few were completely convinced that she and nick were the real deal. luna couldn't help but laugh at how quickly people bought into the idea.

her phone buzzed on the counter. another text from olivia:

livia: they're obsessed with you two. the fan edits are already rolling in. how are you not freaking out about this?

luna smiled, typing a quick reply:

luna: it's wild. honestly, it doesn't feel real

llivia: well, buckle up, girl. you're about to be everywhere.

luna sighed, tossing her phone onto the couch and sinking into it herself. the reality of the situation was starting to settle in—this wasn't just a little stunt anymore. the media had latched onto the story, and there was no turning back. she wondered how nicholas was handling it on his end. he seemed unfazed by the whole thing, but then again, he'd been through this before.

the thought of nick made her stomach flip. she didn't know why, but there was something about him that made her feel... unsettled. not in a bad way, but in a way she couldn't quite put into words. maybe it was because he was so easy to talk to, so good at making this all feel normal. but she knew that blurring the lines between real and fake would only complicate things. she couldn't let herself get lost in it.

before she could get too caught up in her thoughts, her phone buzzed again. this time, it was nick.

nicholas: you free tonight?

luna's heart skipped a beat, even though she knew this wasn't that kind of text.

luna: i am, what's up?

nicholas: i was thinking we could do dinner. get the next phase rolling.

luna hesitated for a second before replying.
