luna sat on the balcony of her apartment, legs crossed underneath her as she scrolled through the endless stream of comments flooding her instagram. her post with nicholas had officially gone viral. fans were freaking out, media outlets were already speculating, and her phone buzzed nonstop with texts from friends and industry contacts alike.
luna's face was everywhere, not just for the single drop but for the new mystery brewing between her and nick.
"wow, people are really eating this up," luna muttered, half to herself.
"of course they are," ivory said, looking over her shoulder with a grin. she had dropped by the apartment just to see luna's face in real-time after everything that happened. "you're a pop star, he's an actor, and now you're a 'couple.' it's the stuff of hollywood dreams."
"yeah, well... it's getting a little crazy," luna admitted, biting her lip. "what if this is too much, too fast?"
ivy raised an eyebrow, flopping onto the couch beside her. "fast? girl, you've been pretending to date him for weeks. now that it's real, you're getting cold feet?"
luna sighed, running a hand through her hair. "it's not that... i just didn't expect everything to blow up so quickly. i mean, what if this is a mistake?"
"what, dating him for real?" ivory asked, her tone incredulous. "you've had feelings for him for a while now, luna. don't try to play it cool with me."
luna opened her mouth to argue, but she knew ivory was right. her feelings for nick had been growing for weeks, creeping up on her until it was impossible to ignore. but now that they were in the spotlight, everything felt... exposed. vulnerable.
before she could respond, there was a knock on the door. ivory shot her a knowing look. "that's your boy. i'm gonna leave you two to figure this out."
