the energy in toronto was electric. luna stood backstage, taking in the crowd's roar as the lights began to dim. this show meant more to her than most—performing in canada felt like a nod to her roots, and tonight's audience was extra special. she wasn't just playing for her fans; ariana grande, one of her idols, would be watching from the crowd. and of course, nicholas was there too, right by her side.

"you ready?" nicholas asked, his voice low as he brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

she turned to him, her heart racing, but for all the right reasons. "i think so. it's still so surreal, you know? performing in toronto... with ariana in the crowd?"

he smiled, leaning in to kiss her softly on the forehead. "you're going to kill it, luna. she's going to be blown away."

luna took a deep breath, trying to settle the nervous energy buzzing inside her. she could hear the faint murmurs of the crowd, the anticipation building. "and you?" she teased, raising an eyebrow. "will you be blown away?"

"always," he said with a smirk, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "i wouldn't miss this for anything."

"well, i'm glad you're here," she said, leaning into him for a moment before pulling away. "this tour's been insane, but having you by my side makes it so much better."

before she could say more, her tour manager popped in, headset on and clipboard in hand. "luna, five minutes."

she nodded, giving nick one last glance before stepping towards the stage. he watched her with that same look of pride she'd grown to love—like he couldn't believe how lucky he was to be with her. it made her heart swell every time.

the crowd's cheers reached a crescendo as the lights dimmed further, and the intro to "taste" began to play. luna could feel the pulse of the bass in her chest, matching the quickening pace of her heartbeat. this was it. the toronto show was starting.
