Cave of Wonders Part 2

(They pass through a long cave, until they emerge in a giant underground cavern. In the center of the room is a tall pillar, with a staircase going up to it. It is surrounded by water with unevenly placed stones forming a bridge. At the top of the pillar is a beam of light. Poppy begins to cross the bridge)

Poppy: [Whispers] Wait here.

(Perky sees a shrine with a golden monkey. The outstretched paws hold a giant ruby. Perky is hypnotically drawn to it. Poppy climbs the stairs quickly. Dumbo sees Perkyand grabs her tail trying in vain to hold her back. Poppy finally reaches the magic lamp)

Poppy: This is it? This is what we came all the way down here to— (Looks down and sees Perky break free of Dumbo's hold and lunge toward the jewel) Perky! NOOOO!

(Perky grabs the jewel. There is a rumbling, and the room begins to shake)

Cave Voice: INFIDELS! YOU HAVE TOUCHED THE FORBIDDEN TREASURE! (Perky places the jewel back into the paw, but the jewel and the shrine melt into lava) NOW YOU WILL NEVER AGAIN SEE THE LIGHT OF DAAAAAY!

Poppy: Whoa!

(Poppy races down the steps, but they flatten into a ramp, and she skis down until she flies into the air. The water has turned into lava. She is falling toward it, when all of a sudden Dumbo appears and catches her. Perky is standing on one of the rocks of the bridge. She looks left and right and sees rocks exploding into lava. Then Dumbo races over and Poppy grabs her, just as the last rock is exploding)

Poppy: Gotcha! Whoa, Dumbo, let's move!

(Together, they race back through the caves, dodging walls and falling debris. Perky grabs Poppy's head and covers her eyes)

Poppy: Perky! P-Perky, this is no time to panic! (Pulls Perky off her head and gasps as she sees they are flying into a wall) Start panicking!

(Dumbo goes into a dive, then through another cave. Finally, they emerge through the internal entrance. Outside, the cave begins to growl and close. Dumbo and company are almost to the top when a boulder drops on Dumbo, sending it to the floor. Poppy grabs onto the rock wall and holds on. She sees the old hag at the top, within reach)

Poppy: Help me out!

Old Hag: Throw me the lamp!

Poppy: I can't hold on. Gimme your hand!

Old Hag: First give me the lamp!

(Poppy reaches in and pulls out the magic lamp. She hands it up, and the old hag raises it above her head)

Old Hag: [Laughing] YEEEEEES! At laaaaaast! [Puts the lamp in]

(Poppy has climbed out with the assistance of Perky. But the old hag kicks aside Perky and grabs Poppy's wrist)

Poppy: What are you doing?!

Old Hag: Giving you your reward-- (Old Hag's voice returns to Chelsea's normal voice) --Your eternal reward. 

(She pulls out a crooked dagger and is about to stab Poppy, when Perky bites her on the wrist. She screams, but lets go of Poppy, who falls into the cave. Chelsea throws Perky into the cave as well. Dumbo sees this, races up, and catches Poppy, but she has already hit the wall several times, and is unconscious. On the surface, the cave roars one final time, then sinks back into the sand. Chelsea pulls off her disguise) 

Chelsea: It's mine! It's all mine! I-- (Can't find it in her pocket) Where is it? NO! NOOOOOO!

(Branch's bedroom)

(He is sitting on her bed, next to Nala who looks sad) 

(Rosiepuff walks in)

Rosiepuff: Branch? Oh, angel. What's wrong?

Branch: Chelsea...has...done something... terrible. (Looked as if he's been crying)

Rosiepuff: There, there, my little peach fuzz--we'll set it right. Now... tell me everything.
