D-day
As expected, the Chaos (Freeze) album caused quite a stir in the MOA world. Many baby MOAs emerged with Mullet-haired Beomgyu as their bias. Fans praised HYBE for letting Beomgyu showcase this side of himself—he looked unreal. They even snagged their first win for the Freeze album today! During their after-win live, Huening Kai was reading comments.
"Where is Beomgyu? And who is this wolf-cut-haired girl with you?" Huening asked.
Beomgyu giggled, "MOA... I'm not that different. Don't act this stupid."
Huening continued, "Yeonjun hyung, say... Huening Kai is handsomer than you..."
Yeonjun chuckled, "Huening!! You made that up yourself!"
Huening laughed, "Taehyun is an Anti-Romantic..."
"Thanks, MOA, I guess that was a compliment?" Taehyun replied.
Huening went on, "Beomgyu is such a highlight... Soobin slayed... 0x1 = LOVESONG supremacy... TXT x MOA forever... Soobin x Beomgyu forever..." He suddenly realized what he had said, leading to an awkward silence.
"Huh??" Beomgyu said, looking confused.
Soobin decided to lighten the tension by bringing up a comment. "Look! A MOA is watching our live from class..."
Yeonjun added, "Hey, MOA, you shouldn't be doing this... But we'll support you this one time. Just make sure your phone is hidden well."
They started talking again, but Beomgyu remained silent, unable to shake off the earlier comment. Soobin tapped Beomgyu's shoulder and with a comforting smile he said, "You're daydreaming... MOAs want to hear you speak. Is your battery all drained?"
With a comforting smile, Beomgyu replied, "I guess I'm just sleepy. Anyway, see? MOAs were the first to notice I went silent... Haha..."
Beomgyu then took his phone and began reading comments in his mind. One caught his eye: "Soobinnie didn't even have a phone when he said that comment about Beomie. He was too busy glancing at Beomgyu and understands Beomie better. He's such an amazing leader... I love his made-up comment and the way he cares for Beomgyu..."
Beomgyu rewinds few minutes back in his phone and realized Soobin had been looking at him secretly, concern evident on his face. His cheeks heated up at the thought. When he clicked back to the live view, he found Soobin secretly staring right at him. Beomgyu quickly looks up at Soobin. Just as they make an eye contact, Soobin turns his face completely away from Beomgyu. But, his side view still visible in camera. Beomgyu quickly looks back at the phone and notices the blush creeping onto Soobin's cheeks, sending butterflies fluttering in his stomach.
Suddenly, reality hit him. Soobin hyung is going to get engaged. He never liked me that way. He sees me just as a friend and always will. Beomgyu looked straight into the camera, realizing that if he kept thinking about Soobin, he might end up in tears in front of the MOAs.
"Okay then, MOAs, it's time to end the live... See you all later..." Huening said, it was already the time to end the live.
"We're gonna miss you, MOAs..." Yeonjun added.
"Bye bye, MOAs..." Taehyun chimed in.
Beomgyu hesitated, then said softly, "Uh... We will always love... you, MOAs..."
"Let's always stay together..." Soobin said, looking genuinely sincere.
"Stream our new song 0x1 = LOVESONG... Bye..." Huening finished, and the live ended.
