"Hange."

"Yes, Levi, my darling?"

"Why do I have a scheduled fifteen minute meeting with HR this afternoon?" Levi asks, spinning in his chair so that he's got Hange in his sightline and he can glare at them appropriately. "The fuck did I do?"

"Oh!" Hange bats their eyes innocently behind their glasses. "Actually, I need a favor."

Levi glares. "Don't tell me I'm your damn errand boy again."

Hange pauses. "Alright. Then I won't tell you."

They turn back around to face their computer. Levi groans. "Is it flowers again?"

"You asked me not to tell you!"

"I can do it, Hange," Oluo says from a nearby desk. "In fact, I'd love to."

"We literally have a metrics meeting all afternoon," Petra says with a sigh.

"Come on, you don't need me for that."

"Yes, we do."

"It's a hard job, but I'll do it," Nanaba announces, standing up. "It's an important task! Can't be left to the hands of Levi."

He scowls. "I'm your boss."

"I didn't ask any of you for a reason," Hange says, wheeling away from their desk. They point a pen at Nanaba. "Last time I asked you to run down to the department store and pick up pens, you took three hours."

"Yeah, because the cashier was hot as hell. Hange, do you want me to die single?"

"Yes," Mike mutters. "Please don't procreate."

"And Oluo, you had an allergy attack last time I sent you out for something," Hange says, and Oluo winces. "Even if you weren't in meetings, I wouldn't be sending you to a flower shop."

"It's flowers again, then," Levi grumbles.

It's been a bit over a week since Uri's retirement party, when he'd gone to pick up the flowers the first time. He walks by your shop every day on his way to work. Your face is ever-present in the front of his mind, which is annoying. Maybe he should go just so he'll stop thinking about you.

Wait, Hange hasn't even confirmed it's from the same place. Levi turns his body in his chair to face them. "Same place as last time?"

Hange's eyebrows shoot to the top of their head. "You're surprisingly amenable!"

"Can use the break to get tea."

"We have tea here!"

"You got me a new kettle yet?"

"I hear you," his coworker says, pointing their pen at him, "but have you considered the fact that we don't need a new kettle? Or have the budget?"

Levi narrows his eyes. "But we have the budget for flower bouquets."

"Oh, come on! It's Moblit's first-day-of-work celebration," Hange says, and their newest hire raises his head when he hears his name. "Right, Moblit? Still on for celebratory drinks after work?"

"Yes! Yes, of course," he says quickly.

"There you have it," they continue.

"We don't need to be getting every new hire flowers," Levi says dryly.

Hange groans. "Levi, you're so pessimistic! Besides, for flowers, they're pretty well-priced-" ("That's well-priced?" Levi mutters) "-and the girl who owns the shop is so sweet! I talked with her on the phone for a full half hour on Monday when I ordered them. She's a darling."
