XO all my love!!

.

Levi thinks that you've ruined him.

This level of possession over his thoughts and feelings should be illegal. He can't even say that it's nerves or anxiety; so much of it is excitement at this point.

He's taking you out. He gets to take you out.

On Friday at work, Hange schedules a one hour block with him in the afternoon in which they present what feels like a million possible first date ideas. Levi humors them, but he thinks he has a plan.

Hange insists on him getting you flowers for the date. "She'll love it," Hange says firmly. "Especially if you get her something meaningful."

And Levi gets the sentiment, he really does. But he would prefer to surprise you with flowers, not order them from you just to give to you. And he doesn't want to go to a different flower shop- that, for some reason, makes it feel like he's cheating on you. He can't go buy flowers from someone else.

He puzzles it on his walk home from work on Friday. What kind of flowers does he get for a girl that literally owns and runs a flower shop? What the hell could he get you that you couldn't arrange yourself, that you couldn't...

Levi blinks.

Oh.

There's his answer. He doesn't get you flowers.

After a quick stop before he makes it home, Levi spends his night preparing (both physically and mentally) for tomorrow. He feels like he's buzzing when he wakes up Saturday morning- he doesn't think he's ever had this much anticipation for anything in his life, ever.

For a minute, he worries that maybe he's putting a bit too much into this. Maybe he's in over his head and he's going to overwhelm you and then it'll be too much and you'll be scared off. But about an hour before he's set to leave, he gets a text from you.

You (7:23): looking forward to today :) still want to meet at 9?

You're good at that- this reassurance thing. Resolving his anxiety. And you probably have no idea you're doing it either.

Levi (7:25): yeah, that works

Levi (7:25): do you want tea?

You (7:26): I can pick up the tea

Levi (7:26): I got it

Levi (7:26): preference?

You (7:27): surprise me

You (7:27): thank you

You text him a heart emoji after. Levi thinks he might explode.

He finishes packing up, carefully leaving a section open for the tea he'll pick up, and goes to get changed. It's casual, but he still wants to look okay; every time he sees you, you look like you've been plucked straight out of a magazine or just hopped off a runway.

Levi settles on a black crewneck and khakis, hoping you'll think he looks okay. Armed with everything he needs, Levi heads out.

He doesn't start getting nervous until he's picked up the tea and is a few minutes away from your flower shop. It looks kind of cloudy, which could mess with his plans... he doesn't even want to think about what he'd do if it starts to rain. But what if it does? Fuck. What if...

He turns the corner and sees you, and all of his anxiety dissipates.

You're wearing green today. A white shirt with a long, dark green skirt and matching cardigan. Levi's heart flips in his chest, and when you make eye contact and smile, he damn near spasms. He feels inadequate next to you, in his stupid crewneck and stupid slacks. You radiate warmth that rivals that of the sun and he feels like he can't possibly compare.
