(chapter four)
(beep) I groan as I roll over to shut off my alarm clock. Luckily, this time I didn't break it. It's been about two weeks since I've started school, and I like to think I'm fitting in there. We've been practicing new techniques and understanding the true depth of our quirks. Mr. Aizawa has been talking about a battle trial today. I mean I'm kinda excited, but I honestly don't know if I can harm my classmates.
(knock knock) "Hey Bunny, are you up yet? Your alarm had been going off for a while, but it just suddenly turned off. You're usually up by now, are you okay?". I sit up in my bed, "Don't worry mom, I'm okay. My bed just felt too comfortable, so it was hard to wake up".
"Okay Bunny, I have breakfast ready for you when ever you're ready. I love you". I get up from my bed and start to put my uniform on, "I love you too, i'll be out in a moment". Her footsteps get further away from the door and I fall back into my thoughts.
I know this is gonna sound weird, but I'm kind of depressed that me and Bakugo haven't talked that much since our first day. Like, yeah we've eaten lunch together, walked too and from school, but most of the time we only talk ABOUT school. Or we'll occasionally talk about each other, but he hasn't really opened up to me yet. After, I'm done putting my uniform on, I head out of my room towards the bathroom. I do my normal morning routine and make my way into the kitchen afterwards. I give my mom a kiss on the cheek, "Good morning mom, do you need any help?". She sets down plates of food on the table, "Nope, I got it all ready right here for you Bunny!" She smiles at me then sits down. When she notices I don't immediately sit down, she starts patting the mat next to her, signaling for me to sit. I chuckle and sit down, "Thank you for the food mom".
I leave my house and do my usual walk towards school. I've noticed my mom has been more relaxed lately. I think it's because she feels like she doesn't have to be worried about me anymore. Well, I mean she's still worried about me, but she knows I have people beside me that can support me along with her. I look up and realize I've passed the spot where I'm supposed to meet up with Bakugo. I jog back to find no sign of him. Did he get mad that I just walked past him? Did he already leave? Is he not going to school today?
After looking around for him, I decide to wait at least five minutes incase he shows up. I really wouldn't want him to find that I'm not here. Five minutes pass by and he's no where to be seen. I really don't wanna be late, but I don't want to leave without him. I wait another five minutes, and I'm still the only person here. I would text him to ask him where he is, but I don't know if we're on that level yet. I really hope he's already at school. I continued to walk to school alone.I walk into class and the only person to inhabit the room is a certain blonde-haired boy. He's resting his head on the desk and his face is hidden behind his arms. I walk up to his seat, "Bakubro, are you okay man?" I get no response, "Bakugo?". He's been silent ever since I walked into the room, so I crouch down to poke him. I'm honestly questioning if he's even alive at this point. "Ugh", I jump back, "Bakugo, are you okay?". He groans, "Just five more minutes dumbass". He flips his head towards the window and the sun's rays beam down on him. He squints his eyes out of discomfort, so I reach out my hand to block the sun from shining into his eyes. I sit down in the seat in front of him and decide to wait until he wakes up.
The sun gleamed onto his skin and made every inch of his skin glow. I lay my head down to where it's facing him and put my hand away. This is the first time I feel like I could point out each detail in his face. His eyebrows were thin and a darker blonde than his hair. His nose was straight and then led to a point. He had a defined jaw line and soft cheekbones. At this point I could even consider him pretty.
