Chapter 1: Independence Day

NATIONAL CITY
July 4, 11:00 CDT

"Come on, dad. When am I gonna be able to fly like you?" Valor whined, leaping towards other buildings to keep up with the older Daxamite.

"You'll get it later on. Besides, cheer up. Aren't you excited for today?" Sentinel asked, flying beside his son.

Sentinel wasn't wrong. Valor was excited for today because today is the day that he gets to explore the League's HQ with his friends, Kid Flash, Robin, Aqualad and Speedy! Oh man, he couldn't wait to see what they do on a daily basis. Imagining all the computers with files on it. The first mission or the biggest mission they have to face. His thoughts were interrupted when an audible boom was heard in the distance.

"The bank!" Sentinel declared before flying over towards National City's bank.

Valor followed by leaping back down to the ground before utilizing his superhuman speed to get there. When they got there, they found Icicle Sr carrying a few duffle bags that were full of money in it.

"Finally." He exclaimed. "I was wondering when will you two show up."

"You thought of us? I'm touched." Sentinel placed his hand on his chest.

"Don't be too touched." Icicle Sr stated before dropping the duffle bags and started shooting ice towards them.

Valor sped out of the way while Sentinel flew out of the way. Valor quickly grabbed the duffle bags that were dropped on the ground next to Icicle Sr and quickly threw them back into the bank. Icicle Sr managed to freeze Sentinel's lower body frozen but he quickly freed himself with his strength.

"Trying to freeze my lower half again? You know it doesn't work." He stated, flying circles around Icicle Sr.

"Come on, dad. This distraction better not interfere with what we have today!" Valor called out before running in and knocking out Icicle Sr in one punch.

"Relax, son." Sentinel stated as he walked over to his son.

"Come on! You always talk to villains when fighting them. I don't even know if you chat more than the Flash." Valor exclaimed before making a 'no' gesture. "No way! Today's the day!"

WASHINGTON, D.C.
July 4, 14:00 EDT

Both Daxamites arrived on time along with the Bats, Arrows and Aquas. Well, the two Flashes are always late so why wasn't the young Daxamite surprise. Everyone stood side by side with each other.

"Today is the day." Batman stated before placing on Robin's shoulder for a second.

"Welcome to the Hall of Justice."

"Headquarters of the Justice League."

The Hall of Justice was huge, even bigger than the young Daxamite saw on TV. His father always told him a bedtime story about it, but seeing it up close. Ben couldn't keep hiding his excitement in him. Suddenly, a voice sounded from behind in annoyance.

"Oh, man!" Kid Flash's voice caused the group to turn around as both Flashes came to a stop in front of them. "I knew we'd be the last ones here." He crossed his arms.
