Tagaytay Timeline - Chapter 2: Chaos at School

---

Another day at Tagaytay National School began with its usual hustle and bustle. The sun was shining brightly, and the chatter of students filled the air as Vapor Revival made his way through the school gates. Unlike most of his classmates, Vapor always had a calmness about him, even though today felt like one of those chaotic days that promised to test his patience.

Vapor adjusted his backpack and let out a quiet sigh. Miles walked beside him, ever-present and cool, her notebook in hand. Miles had always been his closest friend, and their shared interests in science and building things made them an inseparable duo.

“We’ve got math first thing,” Miles muttered, flipping through her notebook, “and there’s a quiz. I hope you reviewed logarithms.”

Vapor smirked. “Logarithms are easy. It's just the chemistry stuff later that’s going to be tough.”

As they entered the classroom, the room was already alive with the noise of students chatting. Valore, one of their classmates, sat at her desk near the window, her arms crossed and her usual fiery expression on her face. Vapor noticed her glaring in the direction of Irish, another classmate, who sat on the opposite side of the room. The tension between the two girls was palpable, and it wasn’t the first time they had butted heads.

Vapor slid into his seat next to Miles, who raised an eyebrow at him. “You’re thinking about something mischievous, aren’t you?”

He grinned, leaning in to whisper, “Watch this.”

The First Tease

As soon as the teacher turned her back to write on the board, Vapor leaned over his desk and called out softly, “Hey, Valore.”

Valore glanced at him, her brow furrowed. “What?”

With a playful smirk, Vapor nodded toward Irish. “You two make such a cute couple, don’t you think?”

Valore’s eyes widened, and she instantly shot daggers at Vapor. “What did you say?! Me and Irish? Are you insane?”

Irish, overhearing the conversation, turned around with an incredulous look. “Excuse me? I would never date Valore.”

Vapor, trying to suppress his laughter, simply shrugged. “You know what they say—opposites attract. You two are perfect for each other.”

Both Valore and Irish were flustered, and Miles, who had been quietly watching the exchange, rolled her eyes. “You’re going to cause a fight one of these days,” she muttered, scribbling something in her notebook.

Vapor leaned back in his chair, satisfied with the reaction, though he knew he’d have to stop before things got too heated. The truth was, despite their constant arguing, Vapor was convinced there was something more between Valore and Irish—if only they’d admit it.

Surviving the Subjects

As the day progressed, Vapor found himself breezing through his subjects with surprising ease. Despite his shy and introverted nature, his intelligence always shone through in class. In math, he quickly solved the quiz problems on logarithms, finishing before most of the class. In history, he recited facts about the Philippine revolution with confidence. And in chemistry, even though the subject could be challenging, he paired up with Miles and managed to ace the experiment on chemical reactions.

Through it all, Vapor was kind to everyone. He helped a struggling classmate with their homework, offered his notes to a student who had missed class, and even stepped in when Valore and Irish’s bickering almost escalated into a full-blown argument.
