(Oscar's POV)
"Logan? What's all this?"
"Well I saw your race, and knowing you, you knew that you wouldn't be happy with your results, even though you should be! So, i organised a few things. Oh, and these are for you," he says handing me the flowers.
"Pink tulips..."
"They're your favourite, no?"
"You remembered though, the last time I mentioned it was... I don't even know, it would have been at least a year ago, early F2 days at least!"
He does say anything but rather walks past me and into the bathroom. Confused, I follow behind him and I watch as he rummages through one on the draws under the skin. After a second of two, he pulls out a small box, it looks familiar, but I can't place where I've seen it.
He then passes it to me and then I finally realise what it is.
"Is that my cologne? Wait I used the last of it the other day, so why are you handing me the box?"
"It's not the box, idiot, it's the box it comes in. I got you another one! I remember you said you were upset about it, so I got you another one,"
"Logan, I appreciate this truely, but this is so much I feel bad,"
"Nope, no feeling bad, this is meant to cheer you up. So good thing I have one last surprise for you,"
With that he walks past me out of the bathroom and back towards the bed. He insists that I sit down and cover my eyes. Not wanting to be assassinated, I close them, rather than cover and manage to duffle my way up to the top of the bed.
I hear him shuffling around the room before he tells me to put my hands out, reluctantly it do and I'm pleasantly surprised.
In my hands I hold a chocolate soufflé and I see The Gentleman set up on the TV ready to play. Looking over to Logan, I see him already looking at me, smiling.
"Nice way to end the day?"
"Yeah it is, thanks Lo,"
He then sits next to me on the other side of the bed and, for a split second, the world around us goes quiet. As if we're the only two still alive in an apocalyptic crisis. The blue of Logan's eyes, like the air around us, disappears and is taken over by something darker. Like the sky of a warm, sunny summers day before the storm of a harsh summers night.
I feel the magnetic pull to get closer to Logan, my mind is screaming me to listen to it, but my heart is telling me this isn't right. No matter how much I want to think with my head, I know I have to act on my heart.
"Well, why don't we start the movie?"
The cloudy storm the was swirling around Logan's eyes clears up and he shortly agrees with me and we select play on the TV.
