(Oscar's POV)

As soon as Alex rubs out of the room my attention turns back to Logan, bombarding him either questions.

"Are you okay? What happened? Why did he do this? Can I get you anything?"

He doesn't stop me but I can't tell by the look he's giving me that what ever I say is going through one ear and out the other right now.

"Logan, are you even hearing me?" I say, placing a hand on either side of his face.

I feel the skin beneath my hands warm before he pulls them off his face, revealing the slightly pink skin below. He nods, but what chat he my eyes is that he's no longer wearing the bandages I did for him last night. I still need to talk to him about that, but now before a race isn't the best time to do that.

Ignoring that for now, as I can't let him know that I know, I take the absence of noise to leave Logan's drivers room. I'm not even sure why I'm here in the first place, I guess I had a feeling something wasn't right? I dunno, but what I do know is that it's a good thing I showed up when I did cause who knows what would have happened to Logan is I hadn't.

"Thank you," his voice shakes and broken, but still sincere.

"You're welcome Lo, I'll always be here for you. Wherever, whenever," the smile that breaks though my lips, contagious as I see Logan form one of his own.

I'm not sure how long we were like that but eventually a member of Williams knocks on his door telling him he needs to get in the car in five minuets. Knowing I'll have to do the same a say a quick goodbye before once aging starring if he needs anything or anyone to talk to I'm here.

As I walk back into my own teams garage, I'm ushered off to my car and told to line up on the grid in order for the team to do the last pre race observations and calculations.

After all of the cars have successfully made their way to the grid and the teams have done any last minute touch ups, I climb back into the car, not before putting on my helmet. A team ever held to strap me in before everyone who's not a driver rushes to the sides, as if Moses was parting a sea of people.

The lights go out for us to do our formation lap, it goes as well as a formation lap can go. Comeing to the end of my lap I park my car on the grid spot for P3, not my best, but could have been worse.

Once everyone has made their way back, once by one the red lights come on. I clear my mind of what just happened with Alex and Logan as Miami can be a brutal circuit in turn 1. So as soon as I seen the five red lights go out I have one of my best starts and overtake Charles for P2 in the first corner.

However, my joy doesn't last for long as I see the light panels show a red flag and my race engineer, Tom, tell me about the red flag and to come back to the pit as soon as I can.

"What happened?" I ask,

"Turn one crash, Sargent I think," he seemed hesitant to tell me it was Logan who crashed.

"Is he okay?" I can't stop myself from asking

"The team has asked, so far hes unresponsive. I'll let you know if things change Oscar,"

Bit of a filler but also adds something to look forwards to next chapter. A little longer than I thought it was going to be, thought it would be just over 500 words tbh.

I have some exciting news, NEW BOOK OUT NOW! Eclipse, a Lestappen book! Heads up, I did write all of the new chapters for all of the books while half asleep lol.

Anyways, enjoy my lovelies!
