"Just don't talk to me, again!"
"JK, please. . .I'm helpless, okay?"
"Helpless!? Helpless!? I don't give a shit, anymore. The far I could comprehend is getting me left out, eventually!"
"You still got Ethan and Kai, man,"
"I'm absolutely not as thick as thieves to them! Now, shut up!"
With that, I ended the call, silencing the owner's voice through the speaker, in utter insolence prompting my cell to slam against the table. My teeth seethed against each other in agitation and irritability, along with me spinning my cross-legged armless chair back and forth as I muttered the cusses to my damn friends, incoherently, and my hands were clenched into fists then drew closer to my chest; a habitual gesture of mine evoked in frustration.
KSJDJFJDJ.
They're so mean! Everyone is a meanie!
People expect me to remain composed amidst such misfortunes. Jay has completely faded from my awareness, at least, for the time being. Once in a blue moon, I get to see Johnny even at the school, and that's solely due to his disagreeable older brother. I've also recently learned that Niki's parents are divorced, which has led him to move back to New Jersey with his father, following the custody verdict, quite soon.
Meanwhile, to rub salt in my wound, just now, a phone call from Jake disclosed how he was gonna be off to Australia for an unspecified period because his uncle had been involved in a fatal car crash.
Heck, as if my life was turning into a car crash!
I pounded my fist against the keyboard, where I had been typing earlier with quite a determination to finish my project; seemingly, all resulted in a lack of motivation and spirit. It wasn't that I was some kind of freak who enjoyed studying but since it's P.E., the only subject, I'd prefer aside from electives like ART, I wanted to perform my best! Additionally, since my school required us to take foreign languages as a vocational subject during the onset of our Junior Year, I picked Korean.
When it comes to Ethan and Kai, we weren't exactly close-knit buddies, either. Over the years, the rest have been, however, my bonding predominantly strengthened with Jake, Jay, and Johnny for the most part. Grrr! And only to have my trust shattered by Jay, eventually in ultimate despair and betrayal.
My longed expressionless eyes were unable to be withdrawn from the computer screen, representing the unfinished draft of my Basketball Project. The segment of a particular section completed by now includes the history, rules and regulations, terminologies, skills, exercises, and a partially finished section on significant tournaments.
As I maintained my straight gaze, a rush of remorse attacked me, reflecting the manner, in which I spoke with Jake when I should have understood his perspective since to no end, he was blameworthy. Besides, he was concerned enough to inform me about the mishap, his family must be enduring, and all I did, was just shut him off, recklessly because of my own foolery. The remorse grew as the tone of my snappy voice in response hit me, when he called himself helpless.
