Thanks for checking out Daryl's Angel! I wanted to come here and make a quick announcement, since I think this is the best way to get the word out about an upcoming project that I am very excited about!
As some of you may know, if you're re-reading this story, I first published Daryl's Angel when I was roughly 13/14 years old. The original story was called "Surviving Among Walkers" and then faced a revamp into the story that you're now on.
Well, it's been around ten years since I first posted. I'm 25 now! Wild how time flies. I have grown a lot as a writer since then and I thought, what better way to celebrate than to revisit Daryl's Angel and give it the adult rewrite I have always wanted to do?
So...I've posted a brand new edition of Daryl's Angel in celebration of its ten-year anniversary (which has technically already passed, but sssshhhh, I'm a busy lady)!
I tried to keep the heart of the story as similar as possible, with similar story beats, but I gave Hope some serious revamping so that she isn't the idealized version self-insert of myself that she was originally. I'm so so excited for all of you to read it!
There will be spice, I should mention. As I am now an adult and not a minor, I felt more comfortable exploring sexuality within the story. Hope and Daryl get it on a lot sooner than in the original story and...there are sex scenes. No fade to blacks this time!
I am also rewriting Beyond Terminus, which will be renamed "Daryl's Angel: Saviour." I'm hoping that this time, I will be able to finish the trilogy in the way I originally wanted to instead of the burnt out copout I did way back when.
