It's nightfall, and Rick and Glenn haven't come back. We're settling down to dinner in the farm house. Daryl didn't want to come, insisting that if he saw Shane he wouldn't be able to stop himself from beating his face in.

"They should've been back by now," Andrea frets.

"Don't worry. They'll be back soon enough," Shane says.

"Lori? Supper time!" Maggie yells.

"She's not here," Patricia says.

"Then where is she?" I ask.

We all look at each other. No one knows where she is.

"I'll go ask Daryl," I offer, getting up and leaving.

Outside, the evening is brisk and cool, the sun just starting to set over the trees as I head towards my campsite. I find Daryl sitting by a fire near our tent.

"Do you know where Lori is?" I ask.

"Must've gone into town lookin' for Rick and Glenn. She asked me to do it, but I told her I didn't wanna be her errand boy," he says, poking at the fire with a large stick.

"Thanks," I say, turning and sprinting away.

When I get back to the group, they've gathered outside.

"Any luck?" T-dog asks.

"Daryl says that she asked him to go get Rick, Hershel, and Glenn back but he refused. Looks like she went herself," I report.

"She's gone? All alone?" Carl asks. I stay quiet and he runs off.

"Carl!" I call after him, but he doesn't listen to me.

"I'll go get her," Shane says, getting into his car and driving away. We stare after it, hoping that nothing bad has happened.

Not even 45 minutes later, his car drives back up to the farm. He gets out, and Lori is with him.

"What happened?" Andrea asks.

"Car accident. I'm fine. Where's Rick?" Lori asks. We stay quiet. "He isn't back yet?"

"No. He isn't," I say, confused.

"You asshole. You lied to me," Lori says, moving towards Shane. "You told me he was back! That is my husband!"

"You wouldn't have come back if he wasn't there. I had to get you back here. For the baby."

"Baby?" I ask, surprised.

"You're having a baby? Why didn't you tell me?" Carl asks.

"Um...uh..." Lori stammers, her mouth hanging open like an idiot.

"Let's go see if you're alright," Andrea says soothingly, ushering Lori towards the house. Carl runs after them.

I shake my head in disbelief. Lori is pregnant.

This day keeps getting crazier and crazier.

I start walking to my tent, looking for Daryl. As I walk, I hear yelling. I slow down, listening.

"If you spent half your time mindin' your daughter's business instead of stickin' your nose in everybody else's, she'd still be alive!" a voice that can only belong to Daryl yells.

After a brief moment, someone speaks.

"Go ahead," a woman says in a small voice. I recognize the voice as Carol's.

"Go ahead and what? Get out! I don't want you here!" Daryl yells again.

There's a pause.

"You're a real piece of work, lady," he sneers. "You're afraid. You're afraid 'cause you're all alone. You got no husband, no daughter. You don't know what to do with yourself. You ain't my problem. Sophia wasn't mine! All you had to do was keep an eye on her!"
