Feeling something buzzing under me I woke from my sleep feeling around for me phone. Finally finding it when it stopped vibrating I see I got 3 missed calls from Leah 4 from Izzy and 6 from Benji. Looking at the time it read 11:45 pm.
Pressing and calling benji back since she called the most. "This better be important." I said as soon as she answered
"Bitch Leah went into labor get to NYC medical." She said causing me to jump up.
"What's going on?" Messiah said with his eyes still close.
"Leah water broke she in labor." I said pulling on some sweats and a hoodie.
"Awe shit." He said getting up and stretching. He throw on a black track suit. He grabbed the keys to the bmw and we headed out.
While on the way there Izzy called.
"Wussup good ma boy heard you bouta be a pops soon." Messiah said as soon as he answered.
"Yea man her water broke like a hour ago. Doc say she about 6 cms." He said you could hear the nervousness in his voice.
"Ya sound nervous my boy." I said chuckling a little.
"Shid I am." He said
"Awe it's coo you got this. You and Leah are going to be great parents. And yall always got us." I said
"Thanks sis where yall at though she cussing the nurs-" he said before Leah cut him off.
"Uh in bitch where you at. We been calling you." She said.
"I'm sorry we was sleep I'm on the way now we like 2 mins away." I said
"Good hurry up FUCK I hate these stupid ass contractions." She said
Pulling upping I told her we was here and hung up.
"Hi we're here for Leah Phillips." I said to the nurse.
"Okay room L234." She said point down the hall. Walking up to the door I heard Leah yell telling them she want the epidural.
"Naw what happened to all that I ain't a punk ion want the drugs labor don't hurt a real thug." I said walking in with messiah behind me.
"Girl fuck you. Now like I said nurse get me the shot ASAP." She flicking me off causing us to laugh.
The nurse left and I walked over to her bed.
"How ya feeling?" I asked
"Horrible this baby needs to get out of me ASAP." She said rolling her eyes.
"Hey Imani baby." Mrs. Phillips said walking in the room with Leah's dad behind her.
"Is that my Mfkan niece?" Her dad my uncle Red said
"Hey uncle red and auntie Leayah" I said smiling and giving them both a big hug.
"We missed you baby how long you been in town?" She asked
"Almost a year." I said
"Girl and you ain't came and seen us yet?" She asked with a hurt look
"I know I'm sorry." I said
"It's coo we gone handle you and Leah later." She said
"Wait why me?" Leah asked
"Cause you knew and ain't bring her by." Her dad said
"But I'm having yall a grab baby." She said with a smile
"So still gone get it." Auntie Leayah said causing Leah to smack her lips.
Few hours later
"FUCKKKK." Leah said causing us all to look at her it was currently 1:22am and the last the doctor checked which was about an hour ago she had dilated to 8 and 1/2.
"You good?" Izzy asked
"Fuck No I feel like I gotta push." Leah said.
"Issac check between her legs and tells us what you see." Auntie Leayah said
"Hair. I think ima pass out." He said
"Boy fuck you ain't now hair down there. Omggggg." Leah said rolling her eyes then arching her back in pain. Walk over next to Izzy I see the head starting to come.
"Geg the nurse ASAP I see the head." I said. Her dad left and then came back
With the nurses. Everybody left except me, her mom, and Izzy.
"Okay grandma and um?" She said looking at me ."
"Godmom." Leah said
"Okay grandma and godmom hold mom's legs up." The nurse said. I pulled my phone out and ft benji at Leah's request. Izzy stood by the doctor looking like he was finna pass out.
"Okay mom deep breath and on the count of 3 push. 1...2...3"
"AHHHHH........(nurse: again).AHHHHHH....(nurse:okay mom one more big push)AHHHH FUCK" Leah said giving one last big push and the room filled with cries. They let Izzy cut the umbilical cord. Then cleaned him off and gave him back to Leah for skin to skin.
"Oh my god look at him." I said with tears in my eyes. "Ima go get everybody while they clean you up I'm proud of you bestie." I said giving her a big hug and then leaving out.
Walking into the waiting room I could help smiling.
"He here." I said
We all headed back to her room and walking into everybody surrounded the baby in the basket while unc red we and sat with Leah.
"He go yo whole face bro." Isaiah said
"Man shits crazy." Izzy said just staring at him.
"And bitch you still look good to have just pushed a baby out." Benji said to Leah
"You did good baby" uncle red said.
"So what's his name?" Aunt Leayah said.
"Isaias Malone" Izzy said.
