Early the next morning just as Alice had promised, she arrived at Julie's dwelling by the docks to begin their first day of training together. The sun illuminated the buildings and clifftops rising from the east, beckoning Aquales' inhabitants to start their daily routines as well. Just as the water had sparkled in the setting sun previously, the light danced on top of the stream and waterways that winded throughout the paths. Alice wondered for a moment if it ever rained within the kingdom's bubble, or if there was a system in place to block the outside rain and prevent flooding.

While it felt a little cooler in the morning before the sun fully warmed the land, the walk to Julie's was not long as both girls lived fairly close. The only issue that arose was the fleet of Axolotl transports that were constantly moving in, and out of the docks. It polluted the tranquility of the morning as Alice stood refreshed and knocked on the door. It opened to reveal an eager - yet tired-looking - Julie.

"Hi! *yawn* I'm ready to go *yaaaaawn*" she said, gripping her scepter rather loosely.

"You don't seem like you're ready, partner"

"Sorry, my brain is still waking up. These dumb boats run late into the night. They make a lot of noise and it's kinda hard to get to sleep."

"If D'Milo heard you say that, I'm sure she'd jump for joy. Always gloating at our misfortune. Maybe the walk will wake you up a bit more!"

"Yeah! *yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn*"

Together the girls took their morning walk through Aquales, with their destination being the same beach that was visited the day before. This would be the training ground where they knew a lot of work needed to be done on their techniques - both individually and as a team. Without Axel's expedited waterway travel, it would take a decent amount of time to reach, but it was the perfect opportunity to review their weaknesses.

"You remember what we had to work on right?" Julie asked. She recalled the advice D'Milo had given them but was double checking to make sure Alice remembered too.

"Yes. I need to work more on my spatial awareness, and not letting distractions get into my head. You need to learn how to better control your magic and build up your strength."

"And of course, putting those together as a team!" Julie yelled as a sign of motivation.

"Right!" Alice confirmed and gave a thumbs-up.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, and more Aqualesians went about their business - almost entirely in their human forms - the pair arrived at the small village at the end of the kingdom and saw it for the first time in the daylight. It had a much more connected feeling than the high temples and large Aqueducts of the city center, and the townsfolk spoke to one another. It seemed as though everybody knew their neighbors. Just then, someone shouted to the girls from afar after having noticed Alice's vibrant pink hair.
