I took a deep breath in and out as my eyes widened. I looked behind. I noticed the lights of Austin's car. He was driving behind the giant wolf that was chasing us. I glanced at Hayden, he was holding tightly onto the steering wheel.
"Is it catching up?"
"No, but I am so scared it might turn around..." I said.
"Austin can handle himself, we know that.""Can you handle this?"
"I got this." Hayden winked at her.
"You're really happy for someone who's getting chased by a giant wolf!"
"In a Corvette, a freaking racing car! Whoooo!"
I stared at Hayden, dumbfounded as he was smiling. He was happy, that was for sure. Maybe the game was slowly turning him crazy. Perhaps it was calling us all crazy. My heart wasn't pumping so fast, and I wasn't shaking. Not like the other games.
"Hayden ..." I called out as we reached the curve.
"Hold on," Hayden said. He moved fast, and the car started skidding. I could hear the tires screeching against the road.
"Oh, I'm gonna be sick," I said.
"Could you not puke in the car?"
"Sure, just pull of, I'll puke down the road, and be a nice tasty snack for the wolf!""Fair point!"
Hayden drove through a tunnel, and flipped on the lights. I turned to look and frowned. I could only see the light's of the other car.
"It's not there any more."
"Probably cause we hit a safe point," Hayden said, he turned to the right and I glanced as he pulled into a gas station. Neon lights lit it up. Hayden slowly came to a stop, and I kept looking around. But there was no sign of the monster.Austin pulled the car next to there's, there was another moment of silence. Hayden clapped his hands together before he hopped out.
"Well that was something else, wasn't it!" He called out.
I hopped out of the car and watched as Austin jumped out of the car. He slammed the car door, causing me to jump.
"Drifting? Really?"
"What? I had to stay away from the wolf."
"That thing was far enough away for you to stop and turn safely, and you know it, the power in that car –""And I knew I could drift it safely, chill dude."
"Chill? May I remind you this is a life or death situation," Austin slowly stalked closer to him. "And that there's somebody else in the car with you." Austin pointed at me. "It's one thing gambling with your own life, it is idiotic gambling with someone else's."
"I'm fine, and he knows what he is doing." I said.Austin glanced at me before he glared at Hayden again. "I get that you think you know what you're doing. But cockiness gets you killed faster than fear."
"Dude –"
"You call me dude one more time I swear you won't have teeth to chew with left.""You really threatening me –"
"Ok, enough!" I snapped, stepping in front of Austin and Hayden, holding my hands out and pressing against their chests. They both took a step back.
"I don't know what's gotten into you two, but we're all safe, and alive." I said. "We can't afford this, not now."

TerrorMy mouth grew dry as I stared at the red eyes looking in our direction. My heart was racing fast as I was pressed tightly against Austin, who himself did his hardest not to move. I glanced at him for a second, and he was staring at me with a frown...
