"no, no, nooooo" jacki groaned, looking at her phone
"what's wrong?" gio asked, sticking his head out from his kitchen
"full moon tomorrow!"
gio stared at her with a confused look on his face
"have you not had a night where it's just crazy calls and cases?" jacki asked stepping into the kitchen
"no...but i'm guessing you have"
"no! but i've heard stories from hen and chimney" jacki said now sitting on the counter of the kitchen
gio playfully smacked her ankles with his hands; jacki ignored his actions and swatted his hands away, staying focused on her phone.
"are you texting your team?" asked gio
"we don't have a groupchat...i refuse to be in a groupchat with buck" jacki stated
gio peeked over to see jacki texting in a paramedic only groupchat, seeing the silly contact names for chimney and hen.
one being an emoji chicken and the other being a...chimney.
"creative" gio teased
"they have a wolf for me"
"why?"
"i get feral apparently"
"you plan on getting feral tonight?" gio asked, winking at jacki
jacki shoved him lightly as she felt her face get red and hot. gio put his hands up in defense apologizing for making jacki feel flustered. the paramedic brushed it off before sharing that she needed to be prepared for the full moon because anything can happen.
"so you worry about the full moon?"
"uh...no, i don't think so"
"...i don't believe that"
"sure call me a liar" gio states

the next shift, jacki came holding two ice coffees in her hands, placing them in the fridge.
"jacqueline hernandez" buck's voice rings through the kitchen
"ugh, full moon gods, please take evan buckley"
"oh is it a full mooooon!"
buck makes a wolf howl when saying the word, moon causing jacki to roll her eyes in annoyance. she turned around to face buck; he seemed to be coming back from a call.
"looks like you got a headstart on today..."
"got a little girl out of the claw machine"
"how'd she get in there?" jacki asked
