Serena's pov
Now you might be wondering who this person is, right? Well, behold! It's one of my big brothers: Jacob Henderson. He's currently studying at Olympus High, pursuing a marine degree with aspirations of becoming a seaman. But before we dive back into the story, let's take a moment to explore the fascinating and somewhat chaotic world of my family, the Henderson family.
The Henderson Clan
As you know, our father, Edward Henderson, is quite the notorious playboy, even now in his prime. His charm and charisma have led him to have numerous children, each born from different mothers, without ever settling down. You can say he's left his mark or should I say, his legacy on more than just our family tree.
Siblings Check!
Let's start with the eldest of us all: James Henderson. The firstborn, James came into this world after a whirlwind romance at a bar. Dad met his mother, a stunning businesswoman, during one of his frequent nights out. They hit it off immediately, and soon after, co-parenting became their reality. James carries a piece of our dad's charm but also a deep sense of responsibility, making him the unofficial leader of our clan.
Next up is my sister, Freya Henderson. Dad couldn't resist her mother's allure when he stumbled into the restaurant owned by her. Freya's mother was equally beautiful and savvy, and their flirtation turned into a meaningful relationship. When Freya was on her way, they both embraced the idea of co-parenting. Freya is strong and independent, but she's also the one we turn to when we need guidance her sharp mind always finds solutions to the problems we face.
Then we have Adam Henderson, the third sibling. And oh boy, where do I start with him? Adam is what you'd call a walking contradiction. On one hand, he's the 'troublemaker' of the family, always scheming, always up to some prank or mischief. He loves testing boundaries and pushing buttons. But on the other hand, Adam has a deep devotion to God, something that confuses and amazes us all. He never misses a Sunday service and is often the first to recite Bible verses at family gatherings, which makes it hard to stay mad at him for long. Beneath the playful grin and rebellious streak is a boy who genuinely believes in doing right well most of the time.
Now, let's get to Jacob Henderson, the brother I mentioned earlier. Dad met Jacob's mom while getting a painting done coincidentally, she was the artist. Dad has often joked that the moment he gazed at her artwork, he felt a connection that led to Jacob's birth. True to form, they settled on co-parenting. Jacob has grown into a creative soul, inspired by his mother's artistic flair, but unlike Adam, he's more reserved, preferring his solitude over the usual family drama.
Moving on, we have Jade and Piper Henderson. They were born in the same year but in different months Jade in May and Piper in December. Dad met Jade's mom while visiting his younger sister, who was getting her makeup done. He was captivated by her mesmerizing hazel eyes, and well, you can guess what happened next. Jade is an introvert, deeply introspective, and often prefers quiet spaces over crowded rooms. She's the one who observes rather than speaks, and her silence sometimes speaks louder than words. Despite her quiet nature, she's one of the most thoughtful people I know.
As for Piper, Dad met her mom while getting a suit designed. They shared an instant connection, filled with flirtation and laughter, resulting in Piper's birth. Piper is the bubble of our family, always managing to bring joy and laughter to our lives.
And then, there are the last two born: Daniel Henderson and me, Serena Henderson. We were both born in the same year, but in different months Daniel in December and I in September. Dad met Daniel's mom in a jewelry store, where she worked as a jeweler. Her beauty caught his eye, and once again, history repeated itself. Meanwhile, my mother was a teacher who met Dad when he picked up my siblings from school. Their flirtation blossomed, leading to my arrival. True to form, they co-parented as well, keeping the cycle alive.
Even though my siblings and I come from different mothers, our bond is uniquely strong. We navigate life together like a tightly knit tapestry, with each of us adding our own threads. There's no rivalry or petty squabbles that often plague step-siblings, instead, we have a harmonious relationship that thrives on support and understanding. We've learned to embrace our differences, and I wouldn't trade my siblings for anything in the world.
So, there you have it, the colorful and complicated tapestry of the Henderson family. Each thread tells a story, and together they weave the narrative of our lives. Now, back to the story...
