Later that week, during lunch, the group was once again caught up in their usual banter. Suhyun was in the middle of telling a ridiculous story about how she once tried to cook ramen and accidentally set off the smoke alarm.

"I swear, it wasn't my fault! The instructions were just really vague," she defended herself, waving her hands dramatically.

Minho raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Vague instructions? Suhyun, it's ramen. You boil water and throw noodles in. It's not rocket science."

Suhyun glared at him, though there was a playful glint in her eyes. "Not everyone can be a master chef, Minho. Some of us have better things to do."

"Yeah, like nearly burning your house down," he quipped.

Felix snorted, shaking his head. "I'm just glad I wasn't there."

"Hey!" Suhyun shot back, crossing her arms. "I didn't actually burn anything. The fire alarm's just sensitive."

"Sure it is," Minho muttered under his breath, but his lips twitched into a small smile as she huffed at him.

And once again, he found himself watching her, smiling more than he should have. Suhyun, however, was too busy trying to defend her questionable cooking skills to notice the change in him.

As the days passed, Minho's behavior stayed much the same on the surface. He still bickered with Suhyun, still rolled his eyes at her antics, but there was something softer underneath it all now. Whenever she laughed at something Hyunjin or Felix said, Minho would smile—just a little. When she cracked a joke or rambled on about something nonsensical, he'd listen more closely than he used to.

But no one noticed. Not Felix, who was too busy joking around with everyone. Not Hyunjin, who spent most of his time napping in class. And certainly not Suhyun, who still saw Minho as the same grumpy rival she'd always known.

Only Minho knew. And he wasn't ready to let anyone else in on the secret just yet.

It had been a few days since the last arcade trip, and things had settled back into the usual school routine. But, of course, that peace didn't last long.

"I've got an idea!" Hyerin suddenly exclaimed during lunch, causing everyone to look up from their food.

Felix grinned, immediately catching onto her excitement. "You're thinking what I'm thinking?"

She nodded, practically bouncing in her seat. "Another hangout! This weekend. I'll organize it, and Felix, you can help."

"I'm in," Felix said without hesitation. His bright smile lit up the table, which always had a way of making everything feel like it was going to be fun, no matter what.

Minho groaned inwardly, already sensing where this was going. He wasn't exactly one to jump at the idea of group hangouts, but he knew resisting was pointless. Especially when Han Jisung was around.

Scene 1: Jisung's Relentless Dragging (Lol I don't know why an I writing this ToT)

Later that week, just as Minho was getting comfortable with the idea of a peaceful weekend, Han Jisung appeared out of nowhere, quokka grin plastered on his face.

"Yo, Minho," Jisung started, wrapping an arm around his friend's shoulder. "Guess what?"

Minho sighed, side-eyeing him. "What?"
