"HEY, MOM. IT'S ME AGAIN UM..." Bella spoke again into her cell, she had been trying to call her mom for a while now, but every time she received no response, this time, Anastasia began to tune it out.
Was her Grams okay?
Had James already gotten to her and killed her?
The thoughts swam through her mind and overwhelmed her, the only way she could try to shut it out was by closing her eyes.
When she opened them once more, they had arrived at a lovely looking hotel, the entire check-in process was quick and simple, Carlisle had basically cleared everything for them before their arrival, they just had to go up to their room.
After an hour or so of awkwardly sitting around, Alice gasped, her eyes now seemingly looking somewhere far off. "What is it? What do you see?" Jasper asked her, placing his hand upon her shoulder.
"The tracker," Alice announced, and by those two words, Anastasia's anxiety only rose further, "he just changed course."
"Where will it take him, Alice?" Jasper then moved to look for something, and produced a piece of paper and a charcoal stick.
"Mirrors." Alice mysteriously said. "A room full of mirrors." she elaborated.
"Edward said the visions weren't always certain." Bella dismissed her, trying to keep her own worries from rising.
"She sees the course people are on while they're on it." Jasper told her, Anastasia began to listen intently at this. "If they change their minds, the vision changes."
"Okay, so the course that the tracker's on now, is gonna lead him to a ballet studio?" she referenced to the drawing Alice had produced.
"You've been here?" Alice asked.
"I took lessons as a kid. The school I went to had an arch just like that." Bella explained, causing Jasper and Alice's interest to pique further.
"Was your school here in Phoenix?" Jasper asked, but as Bella began to answer, her phone started to vibrate, Edward's name flashing on the screen.
"Edward, are you okay?" she immediately rambled into the phone, from where she was, Anastasia couldn't exactly hear anything coming from Edward's side of the call, so she just decided to take some spare paper and play noughts and crosses with herself.
A few hours had passed and Jasper went down with Alice to check them all out, wanting to keep on the move. Bella was shoving her items hastily back into her bag, like Anastasia, who was doing the exact same.
At the present moment, Anastasia was in the bathroom, taking a quick shower before they left, but before she went into the room, she swore she heard Bella answer her phone, but she brushed it off, must've been Edward, she thought.
After freshening up, Anastasia saw that Bella was still packing. "Shit." she suddenly cursed. "Hey 'Tasia, would you mind coming down to find a store that sells pads or something? I'm meant to be due and I forgot to grab some in the rush to get away from home."
"Yeah, sure thing Bells, do Alice and Jasper know where we're going?"
"Um, yeah, just called them before you ran into the bathroom. C'mon, we'll get a cab." Bella's hastiness wasn't anything new to Anastasia, so she wasn't surprised when the girl latched onto her arm and subtly pulled her to the exit, where she muttered to the driver an address of, presumably, some store.
But when they pulled up and the taxi came to a halt, letting them out of the bright yellow car, Anastasia was surprised by the size of the building, and then she saw a sign saying 'Mimi's school of dance', she mentally punched herself for being so stupid. "Bella, you aren't due for a period, are you?"
