Long story short, after that, the bandage man, the four-eyed, the crazy carrot bomber actor, and the hostage girl did a little ice-breaking together with Atsushi in the cafeteria under their agency building.

'A nicer man than I thought'—that's what I and Atsushi think when the carrot man introduces himself along with her sister Naomi.

It turns out that carrot man, named Jun'ichiro Tanizaki, is a nice man. He deeply apologizes to Atsushi because he felt he was rude to him as a bomber actor.

Now I like this carrot man, I mean, Tanizaki, better. He's nicer than the Mummy guy.

Not long after that, they were called back to the agency because there's a job for them by a client. An office lady with blonde short hair till her shoulder, asking for help handling some smugglers that keep disturbing behind her company's building.

OH-HO! Moon, now we reached the very troublesome part of today's incident.

It turns out that the job requested by a woman client is a trap to catch my little master alive!

That blonde girl named Higuchi is actually a part of Mafia. She works under Akutagawa, a man whose four eyes showed Atsushi a picture of him a little while ago, along with advice to not encounter with him and flee if run into him. (I'm pretty sure I can handle that low man for Atsushi, though.)

Anyway, back to the current incident, Naomi was seriously injured because she shielded his brother when the crazy blondes shot them. My Atsushi was quite shocked, and he must be scared again! Poor my Sushi.

Damn! How many crazy people do we need to run into today? First, crazy carrot bomber, and now this? Crazy blonde shooter?

Tanizaki was furious and attacked her; using his snow ability to hide us, he chocked the blonde girl from behind. But not long after that, he was attacked by a man in a black coat. And now, the Tanizaki's brother is seriously injured. Technically, they're on their death door.

"You must fear death."

"You must fear killing... as much as you cover death."

"For death...covets you just as much."

"And so we meet for the first time. I am Akutagawa."

That was what the man in the long black coat said when he attacked Tanizaki. Atsushi, on the other hand, remained frozen in shock and fear.

"Just like the girl before you... I am, but a humble dog of the port Mafia."

Pfttt! What kind of self-introduction is that? It's not epic at all. It's so lame! First of all, who asked? And secondly, a humble dog?! Don't make me laugh. Dog didn't talk. They're bite! And you just spent an entire essay just to introduce yourself.

Hey, moon. Try to guess what happened next. It's something funny!

The blonde girl was slapped by that man named Akutagawa, causing a little blood to flow from the corner of her mouth and her sunglasses to fly off. Ok, maybe that's not funny to you, but for me, yes!

"We were instructed to capture the man-tiger alive. What will killing them all accomplish? You useless cur!"

Wow! That's very rude, but the woman deserves it. I feel a bit, just a tiny bit sorry for that woman because she was slapped by her colleague. That's really embarrassing~

But moon, seriously, Akutagawa is a strong chatterbox. I'm quite bored of hearing it. Let's skip all the rambling and go to the main part. So, he told Atsushi that his friend's death was Atsushi's fault because Atsushi brought bad luck to them.

"Indeed. That's the fate you must bear, man-tiger. The fact that you still live and breathe harms those around you."

"Surely you must have realized it in your subconscious by now."

Grrrr!!! This Akutagawa guy is really annoying. It's not Atsushi's fault. I did all that to protect Atsushi. Atsushi is my little innocent cub. Don't blame him. Oh, how I wish this deaf dog man would hear me.

Then the man called his ability something like... what mon? Pokémon? I don't know. It doesn't matter. But for sure, he wants to show off his ability to scare Atsushi.

"My ability is something of a gourmand. It eats through all in its path. If you resist, your leg will be next."

That was the threatening that Akutagawa mentioned. At that time, Tanizaki, who was on the brink of death, told Atsushi to escape. But Atsushi acted unexpectedly.

He tried to fight back with all he can, ran towards Akutagawa, slid, grabbed the gun near Akutagawa's feet, and shot him repeatedly. Unfortunately, the shot didn't affect him at all.

"That was a very impressive move. But it was still reckless flailing of a fool."

Indeed! It was a very impressive move! Even I was surprised by my little Sushi action. And IT'S NOT RECKLESS OR FOOL!

For someone like him who was first to encounter such a very dangerous man, he didn't run away and try to fight back. And that move is very cool! I'm proud of my little Sushi.

"I believe I told you, my black beast eats through all it encounters...even if that something is space itself."

Not that I forgot. I'm just not interested to know. And that caused Atsushi to forget since we were one afterall.

"I had it consume a fraction of space between the barrel of your gun and my back. Neither a spear nor pure fire inflicts harm if the space it occupies does not exist."

Ok, ok. Fine! I will take note of that. I don't want to repeat my regret like my first encounter with the certain bandage man.

"Now, I must keep my promise..."

Huh? What promise... Did he promise something before?—And that was my big mistake for always not taking it seriously when facing an enemy. Without me realizing it, Atsushi was already howling in pain because his leg had been cut off.

With that, it triggered all his abusive life memory and his willingness to fight and keep fighting to survive.

And that was what I needed the most to transform into my Tiger form! His willingness to fight and my desire to protect him—if it became one, I could transform right there and then.

And I managed to do it without you (moon).

Now, I will make him deader than dead! That man in the black coat made a huge mistake. A huge mistake in his entire life!

That Akutagawa, he realized something was wrong and turned around, noticing that Atsushi and I, already in half-human, half-beast form, were now clinging to the wall of the building on all fours.

"Wha—Now we're talking."
