A/N: Ya okay I know my passing sucks but I have trouble of thinking of ways to slow it down nor do I have an editor to tell me shit, therefore while i will try to balance the passing even more from here on out but I can't gaurantee it will be any good.

Oh and if you were wondering how did rimuru get suprised, well simple, he had been limiting his abilities, otherwise there would simply be no story to write.

Rimuru POV:

Get Lifetime Access to My Prompts Library:

Looking around at the unusual field I find myself in, I see Shenhe unconscious on the grass and an oddly dressed man nearby. Strangely, I do not see Velzard. Reaching out with my senses—especially my magic sense—I'm hit with an intense backlash, overwhelmed by the absurdly mana-rich air. Comparing it to the ninja world would be like comparing dark roast coffee here to a single drop of mild coffee dissolved in milk.

This worries me immediately; Shenhe normally couldn't handle an environment like this. Once my senses adjust to the atmosphere, I focus on Shenhe lying on the grass. Surprisingly, she isn't suffering from the excess mana. Instead, she's changing—her very race seems to be transforming. Her ears have grown sharper, almost like an elf's, and her skin is paler and smoother than before. Her breath releases an icy air, freezing the grass in front of her.

"Ciel, what's happening to her?"

"Master, because of Shenhe's unique physique and high affinity with ice, she's becoming a Frozen Spirit (Yuki Hime, 雪姫)—a snow princess, commonly known as a Yuki-onna. These beings are the souls of women who died by freezing, and their powers vary based on their emotions at the time of death. Though Shenhe has never died, it's difficult to predict her abilities after this transformation. Note, however, that while she's now a mostly spiritual being, she still has a physical form and is therefore vulnerable to physical attacks."

Well, that's certainly... different. This could be good, bad, or something in between; hard to tell, honestly.

"Master, it seems that Shenhe's Vision is now useless to her."

"Why, Ciel?"

"Her Vision's ability to channel elemental energy has been absorbed into her spirit, so her Vision is now merely a trinket."

Huh. Well, at least she won't need her Vision to use elemental power. "Ciel, have you been able to access this subsection of The Root?"

"Yes, Master. I currently have full access."

Great! "And Ciel, please don't spoil anything for me, alright?"

"As you command. I'll go check on a few other things since there's little more I can do here... unless you have something in mind~"

A/N: Wrong timing, Ciel. Maybe another time, depending on what the comments say. Pulls out Anti-Horny Bat.

"Well, Author-san, you're certainly a pain, aren't you? Just for that, you don't get the full story!" (Velzard mystery?)

Oddly Dressed Man's POV

A/N: Rimuru, why did you force-switch the POV!?

Waking up on the field, I feel the gentle sway of grass beneath my hands as a light breeze drifts by. The sun is warm on my skin, yet I shiver, sensing something staring into my back. I spring up, turning quickly to see... a man? A being, with piercing golden eyes, gazing at me. His hair is a silvery blue, similar to mine but without any distinct hue, just pure silver. He seems amused by my alarm.
