Scrambled Eggs

Ben's eyes open slowly, opening to see a dark room in front of him.

After stirring a bit, he realizes his current situation. He is laying down on a couch, with Loona's arms wrapped rather tightly around his waist, her face resting in the crook of his neck.

Ben: 'We must've fallen asleep during one of the movies.' He carefully grabs Loona's hands and just holds them. 'And no nightmares tonight, not even the ones not involving Vilgax.'

Ben's eyes adjust to the darkness, enough to see a small bundle of blankets on the floor. Protruding from that bundle of blankets Ben can only see a pair of large black and white striped horns.

Ben: 'Ah. Makes sense Blitzø's on the floor, we practically took his bed.'

Ben chuckles quietly, which results in Loona's arms tightening around his waist, pushing more air out of his lungs and making it slightly harder to breath.

Ben: 'How is this comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time?'

A vibration could be felt in Ben's jacket, so he reaches in, taking it out and turning it on. This light practically blinds Ben and stirs Loona.

Ben then quickly turns down the brightness, preventing Loona from waking up. With a sigh, Ben checks the time on his phone.

Ben: '7:34, huh? It's been almost two years since I've slept so soundly.'

Ben then checks the message he received, which was from Charlie.

Char: Are you awake?

Ben: Yeah, woke up a bit ago. What's up?

Char: Well, today is going to mark Pentious's first week at the Hotel and I was hoping you could help us in putting up decorations?

Ben: I'll try, but I'm caught up in somethin right now.

Ben opens his camera, activating a feature on his phone called "Night Vision". This allowed him to take a selfie of him and Loona without activating the flash. Ben then sent the photo to Loona.

Ben: If you ever meet Loona, don't tell her about this photo, kay? She'd kill me

Char: Okay! I'll see you as soon as possible then! 😊

Ben: 👍

Ben puts his phone back into his pocket, going back to just laying in the darkness of the apartment.

Ben: 'I should probably just fall back asleep. No point in just laying awake in here, waiting for Loona to wake up.'

Ben then had a sudden realization, and he moved one of his hands onto Loona's head, reaching the spot just behind her ears.

Ben: 'Please don't bite my hand off.'

Ben starts to slowly scratch behind the hellhound's ears, and she reacts positively.

Loona's ears flatten down slightly, and her tail starts wagging, quietly slapping against the couch cushions. Loona would even let out quiet little purrs and moans in reaction to the scratches. Ben found all of this quite adorable.

Ben: 'So cute!'

Ben continues to scratch behind Loona's ears, which causes the hellhound to snuggle further into his neck.

Then, all of a sudden, she spoke.

Loona: "You could've asked if you wanted to scratch behind my ears, you know."
