"Elegance! 3 moons!" she growled, wings flaring up. "Where have you been. I got the whole school to look for you! It's far harder to make dragonets do things that a whole lazy RainWing village, and that's saying something!"
"I'm sorry Tsunami, I just-" she said but was interrupted by the furious dragon.
"Go back to your dorm now!" she hissed. "Dragonets aren't meant to be up after dark anyway."
"No, I promise this is something really important! But I need to leave now!" she pleaded.
Tsunami's eyes narrowed, "Is this ANOTHER MOON BLASTED PROPHECY?!" she yelled. "WHAT IS IT WITH JADE WINGLET DRAGONETS AND PROPHECIES! I told Clay we should have changed its name, it's bad luck."
"It's not a prophecy, but something really bad will happen if I don't go," Elegance stared at Tsunami's unblinking, untrusting eyes.
"How long?" she asked, raising an eyebrow while crossing her arms.
"I'm not sure?" she said slowly and smiling slightly.
"Comforting," Tsunami sighed. "I would ask what it is, but I know you won't tell me, so all I can do I guess is get something for your wing. Am I right?"
Elegance nodded gratefully, giving her swollen wing a glance before following Tsunami who had already started walking, muttering curses about prophesies under her breath.
They came to a building with two lines about the same length that crossed over, like an x, but turned 90 degrees.
"What does that mean?" Elegance asked pointing to the symbol.
"Scavengers put those on their mini healing buildings in the Sanctuary, so we adopted the idea and put it on our first-aid place. Sunny's idea. I don't get it personally," Tsunami concluded with a wave of her talon.
The SeaWing signalled to a seat and walked inside the room, searched through some draws before pulling out a glass container.
"Put this on the cut if it gets infected," Tsunami said.
"Thank you Tsunami, and if anyone asks where I've went, can you just tell them I've gone to see my parents?" she asked.
"Sure."
"Now go away and be safe, I don't want another classroom blowing up because of some stupid prophecy."
Elegance nodded then turned around to walk out of the entrance, into the hallways, and down the spiral staircase to the ground level where she turned around and paused.
"Goodbye Jade Mountain, but now is another chapter of my life," she touched a talon to the foot of the massive mountain, her arm was easier to see than last night, now the moons were little fingernail shapes rather than completely gone.
Then she turned back around and started her long journey. The whole time hoping that her wing would miraculously get better and allow her to fly but healing wasn't on her side.
Once Elegance was worn out completely, she settled down making herself a bed out of some ferns like she'd done last night but as she got comfortable and put her bag down, she realised that she still had the dream visitor.
Elegance could dream visit Moor right now! Wait... Elegance thought for a moment, searching through her tired brain for information about the dream visitors.
Moor might be able to hurt me if I dream visit her directly though. I wish father had told me more about them.
Elegance suddenly realised that she could contact her father and ask. So how did her father do it again? Think of the dragon maybe. Or say their name?
"Winter," she whispered into the dream visitor, scrunching her eyes tightly shut. She waited for a few moments, still whispering her father's name before opening her eyes again.
She'd imagined them to fly open into a beautiful bright dream, but nothing had happened, she was still in her little fern nest.
Did I do something wrong? She wondered, clutching the sapphire, and staring at it. Even in the dark, the little gem glowed a mild blue, casting an eerie light over the forest's trees around her.
"Come on, do something!" she hissed aloud waving the gem around. The gem twinkled haughtily as if mocking her.
"See if I care," she growled, shoving it roughly back in her bag. Then she flopped limply onto her back like a doll a dragonet had dropped.
I hope my wing is better in the morning.
I hope I can find Moor before she does anything bad.
I hope that everything will be alright.
Elegance closed her eyes, the wishes she had swirling like a typhoon in her weary brain.
Everything will be alright in the morning...
