Chapter 7 Apology and Help?

So this time Dad sat in the passenger seat , I sat in the back passenger seat and Heather sat on Caz lap behind Gramps. Driving through was a breeze , but we had to move the logs on the rocks making a ramp.

It didn't take long and of course we were flanked by my men.  As we got into the large village market. Many of them turned to stop and bow.  The market was full of talk as I scanned the crowds. " Hey , Gramps stop for a minute!"

He stopped.. What is it? I grin at Gramps getting out. I tapped her shoulder gently " Hello!" She turned around , and indeed has two loo loo bruises on her eyes. " I am princess Jessica! I , wanted to apologize for scaring you the other day!"

She , looked mad but crossed her arms and said ... Princess? " Yes the king is my Dad! He is there!" I heard that , that princess is a human!
" I am half yes! Dad , can I give her money to treat herself?" Hmm yes my Star! Dad passed me a jewel rock .

Eek this will pay rent for a whole month!  Thank you! Your majesty!
Thank my daughter , that is half of her allowance!  He said , and I looked at Dad like really? " Please tell the others , I'm not as bad as you might have thought!"

So I got back into  the go kart , and we pulled into that hallway. Six women came running.. Your majesty you scared us! I just went to fetch Jessica , and some proof humans aren't all bad!

Jessica! " Mom!" Aunt Iona! Heather oh my goodness! They shared a hug. " Mom you remember Caz? These two got engaged!" Oh that's great news!  Jessica your neck! "It's sore but I'll heal Mom!"

What? " Nothing , for you to worry about Heather!" I turned looking at his other wives. I remember Nila , she already rubbed me the wrong way once. The black haired one , with elf ears stepped in front of me.

You angered the old king , and we got punished along with your mother! " Maybe I owe my grandfather , an apology for speaking up at the party! But that woman only used grandfather to get under my skin , and try to force the commander at her side! Lyco , chose to participate in the tournament! He deserves a choice in what he wants too!"

But you killed her! " Yes I might have been a little extreme! But , my grandfather is biased against me already! She wanted to make an example of me , and I took her down a peg! If , I accept being bullied it will just get worse! Tolerant is the way to go , but I had to nip that in the ass!"

You defended the commander! "Yes , I may not know him well yet but he is my husband!"  Dad's  other wives are speechless. " While we are on the subject... My cousin Heather , and her man Caz my childhood friend signed a promise note , to keep all our secrets as a sign of trust! Dad has it in his pocket!"

Heavy , footsteps came behind me sending chills down my spine.
You aren't dead? You , had no breath when you were taken! " Sorry to disappoint you grandfather!  And I apologize for speaking up to you at the party! But can I ask... How would you feel knowing you're viewed as a rat , walking into a snake pit by your own grandfather? I acted out because I was defending myself , and the commanders choice! I know you don't trust me , even though you don't know me at all!

You share my blood , but you are no grandchild of mine! " Yeah well if that's how it is , just stay absent like you always have! I'm going for a walk Dad!" Murro went with me. "Prejudiced old bastard!"  The old king is too set in his ways! He's afraid of change !

" Murro tell me something! What , would really help the villagers of this land? Are there orphans or widows around?"  Yes his majesty ordered them to come to court for free meals! But the maids bully them!  " I have an idea , of how we can help!"
