Chapter 24 Tickets and Shock

After that rude asshole accused Caz of stealing money, we made it back home. Putting the groceries away " Heather , what exactly did that nosey old man say before?"
He said .... SIRENS .... Are Blaring outside.. " I think he's trying to use Caz and set us up!" I laid our lottery tickets on the table and got the three receipts.

Gramps opened the door.. Yes , officers what do you need? Yes sir! Do , you have a granddaughter with a boyfriend? " Gramps I got this! I , think I know what this is about!"

We're you at the Sav a Bunch? " Yes sir I had bought some scratch off tickets , and some big draws at two gas stations! I won some money on one! So I gave Caz and my cousin Heather some cash to get groceries! On their way out , an older man accused him of being a thief! So I explained I gave home the money! And , he rudely asked me if I was a whore! Here are my receipts as proof!"

Not to be rude but are you? " No  officer , domestic relationships are not prostitution sir! I'm not being paid for sex! We take care of each other!" Dad pulled me back ... My daughter has committed no crimes!

He stared them right in the eyes , and left quietly. " I , can't believe that man called the police! I mean we didn't steal anything!" Do not worry about that!  " I'll try Dad! I got tickets , for the big draw tonight and for next week!"

So we all relaxed around ,watching an  anime convention walkthrough on TV. Then we watched a few episodes of a funny one. I think my grandfather , is hooked judging by the smile. Then when it was almost time for the drawing so I turned the channel.

The , anticipation felt like the longest ten minutes of my whole life. Gramps is staring at my tickets . " Gramps , your hands are shaking!?" J.. j j .. j u .. j Jessica you won! YOU WON! Gramps laughed cheering.

" Which one?" Both! You are rich! " We aren't telling the whole neighborhood! But we will try , and buy up the properties on this street! And  maybe I'll create a manga, and have a publisher print the copies to sell! Then I can get  something like a cosplay and manga theme picture  booth! Only they take pictures with cosplayers! I think I could market my manga there! And maybe set up a diner with a game room , music , and Internet ! Ya know like a lounge!"

You have good ideas ! But , what about catering to the older crowd too?  " How about we buy that old bar and make it into like a classy restaurant? We could do it like a sports lounge with TV , but have tables with umbrellas outside of you want a more private area!"

Now you're talking! Gramps has got a smile from ear to ear. Garth , I have to go back or Dad will be mad!
Heather said .  Knock Knock Knock.. Gramps answered the door.. Yes is Caz visiting here?  Yes ma'am is there a problem? I need my son to come here!

I followed over behind Heather and Caz. Come on your going home! Mom I can come on my own! NO come home now! " Did , something happen Mrs Trin?" This is between me and my son!

No mom you know what I'm married already! We just haven't had the big party! Caz said firmly... SMACK.. " Mrs Trin ,  I know a nosey man tried accusing him of stealing money at the store! But , I handed him the money I won on a scratch off! I'm not sure if that's what you're upset about!"

You disappeared for years after your mom and Dad died! How do I know you aren't a murderer? " I thought Dad and mom died too!  But I found out they were alive , after I was sent to train and learn to run the family business on Dad's side! "

Come in it's good to see you ! Dad said behind me. She froze ... " Hello are you okay?" I waved my hand across her face... She's in shock I think! "Yeah Heather I think your right!" Mom close your mouth and come in! Caz said.. I think he's somewhat embarrassed.
