Derek woke up. The sky was clear, and when he looked around, he was in the desert, but alone. He started to think, having the conclusion that it could be one of the unexplainable Os's Desert events. He started to wander around, not knowing where to go, so he walked around without a destination. He had, the truly one, arriving at Os, but its desert was full of tricks, making it complicated. He came up to what seemed Beta in the distance. Though Derek was very far from the city.
“No, this isn't possible.” he told himself. Then started to walk towards the city. He was getting closer. It was a trap. One of Derek's feet started to sink in the sand.
“Oh, no.” he tried to get his foot off of that area that seemed like quick sand.
”Dang it.” he said, and succeeded on pulling his foot out of the sand. From the excessive force Derek fell backwards, but instead of hitting the sand he went beneath it. He saw stars, and the night sky. He looked around, but that didn't last long so he hit the ground. “Argh- what was that?” he questioned, before standing up.
He began to walk to the city again but... it disappeared. Derek facepalmed and let out a brief sigh, “Of course...” he said. And returned to wander without a destination. Until the place went blurry for a moment. He found himself in the storm he was before losing consciousness. “Not again!” he shouted, irritated. He tried to do an air bubble but failed miserably. The wind was growing stronger, Derek darted his eyes around to look for a shelter, but there wasn't anything in miles from where he was. So he decided to go forward, despite the storm. It was difficult, he moved slowly, and a wrong step could lead him to faint again. He kept walking with a lot of fatigue, but was going slowly forward.
He saw Jazz's silhouette in the distance.
“Jazz?” he said confused, then the shadow transformed into a spirit of fire that lunged at Derek. Which he defeated easily.
“What do I have to do?!” he said frustrated while the storm was still going, then it stopped. Derek moved his arm away from the eyes and looked around. He found himself in Main Gate. But it was all destroyed, and there was no one to be seen around. “Darn...” Derek said. He saw obliterated buildings, ruins and a lot of dust. He started to walk around. It seemed like a destroyed ghost city. He saw only destruction and more ruins. After some time he got out of Main Gate. But when doing so the sand fell down underneath his feet. “WHAT?-” he yelled before starting to fall. Where he was he saw stars and the sky was black. He didn't know where he was falling, he just was, not knowing where. After a bit the sky was starting to turn light blue, and fell on the sand, but managed to land square on his feet. Weirdly enough the fall didn't hurt, did the sand softened it? Derek got up and saw he was in the desert, again in the spot where he lost consciousness. “I don't like this.” Derek darted his eyes around, then a feminine voice spoke from behind him. ”Did you get lost, little one?” it asked with a joking tone. Derek turned around, with an enough hostile look. “Who's there?” he questioned, and then saw July. Derek's expression became confused. “E-eh? And who are you?” he asked, “I thought I was alone.” he said. July smiled, “My name is July, July Crystal.” she introduced herself, “Derek Emerald, or just Derek.” Derek also introduced himself. “Ooh, what a nice name you have!” July replied jokingly. Derek rolled his eyes, “Do you know how to get out of here?” he questioned. July nodded, “Follow me, dear.” she replied, again with a joking tone. The two walked in the desert. “So, what are you doing here, little one?” July asked while smiling. Derek sighed a little, ”Don't call me like that. I was in the middle of a storm and lost consciousness.” Derel explained. ”I see...” July replied. There was nothing in miles. Derek had his hands shoved in the pockets with a bored look on his face, while July was relaxed and happy as usual. She started a small talk with Derek. “So, where are you from?” she asked him, ”Beta, you?” he askee back, “Me, too!” she replied. “Never saw you around. Cool.” Derek adjusted his hair. July then had the beautiful idea of doing the funny one with Derek, again. “You have a nice hair color, you know?” she told him, and giggled a little. “Ha ha, real funny.” Derek replied with sarcastic tone. “I'm serious, it matches very well with the color of your eyes.” she told him, now being more sincere while looking at Derek in the eyes. “You think?” he asked, “Mhm!” she replied with a smile. “Uh, thanks, I guess?” he thanked her, now confused. Then they both stayed silent for a while. After five more minutes another storm was approaching.
“Don't worry, keep walking.” July said, Derek shrugged and did what was told. The storm was becoming more intense, to the point it was hard to see forward.
”Follow me!” July said and jolted forward. Derek followed. They saw the exit, but it was vanishing, so they accelerated and... All white.
