He slipped through the stone streets of the heart of the capital, where the Duke of Alberton was located, and blended naturally into the bustling market.

After that, we left the crowded shopping streets and walked into the slums. Then he stepped into a corner of the alley, leaned against the corner of the wall, and looked around as if he was waiting for someone.

Not long after, an old man in a gray dress and an old basket in one hand entered the alley. He said nonchalantly to the old man who had stopped in front of the corner of the wall where he stood.

"What is the mood in the capital now?"

To his question, the old man replied with a gentle smile.

"I don't talk openly about blasphemy because I'm afraid of blasphemy against the imperial family, but all those who are light-hearted are talking about the recent unfortunate events and the imperial family."

"What is the situation of the Duke of Alberton and the pro-Emperor aristocracy now?"

"The Duke of Alberton has dismissed the rumors as unworthwhile, and the pro-Emperor aristocracy has been convinced by them before, but this case will not go too far. After all, the pro-Emperor aristocracy knows that he was found in front of the Alberton mansion and was a liaison between the Duke and the Imperial Family."

"So, how do you think the pro-emperor aristocracy will come out of this?"

"I still have a strong loyalty to the Emperor and the Imperial Family, so I won't openly ask the Emperor to explain the truth of the rumors. However, it is likely that the Duke of Alberton will be asked to sort out the situation somehow. I've become a part of the rumors."

The old man raised a cold look and answered his question in a meaningful voice. When the old man finished speaking, he kissed her gloved hand respectfully.

"I see. Thank you for spreading the word last time, and for coming out and sharing the news with them. Mrs. McClais."

"You're welcome. It's no longer a matter of spreading a few rumors to avenge the dishonor of Princess Eileen and her two sons."

"Please take care of yourself."

"Don't worry about me. Be careful not to let Lord Tor get caught. The capital is dotted with the Imperial Guard and the Duke of Alberton's private soldiers."

After exchanging greetings, the old man, Mrs. McClais, fixed the basket in her hand and slipped out of the alley.

Lord Thor looked behind her, making sure she made it through the alley safely, and that no one was following her. Luckily, it wasn't long before I saw her on top of a carriage parked on the road a short distance from the alley, and I secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Afterwards, Lord Thor made his way out of the alleys of the back slums and blended back into the bustling streets.

Thus the instigator of the four unfortunate incidents that have taken place in the capital so far, and the instigator of the fifth incident that will soon follow, has once again disappeared into the peaceful citizens of the capital.

It's been a week since I got Reina out of Appleton Abbey. Time in Felix's castle passed serenely and uneventfully.

Grace returned the servants of the outbuilding to work, and Arthur was busy with military training and governing Felix's castle as usual.

But like a swan floating on the surface of the water, there was a lot going on in the intimate depths of Felix's Castle, which was seemingly peaceful.
