Takes place after A Night at SMG4's

Mr. Puzzles walks alone in the rain. He walks and walks, but he can't escape the feeling of uselessness that washes over him like an inexcapeable whirlwind that seemed to only follow him. He curses SMG4 and Mario in a hushed and silent tone, the sound of rain hitting the ground doing nothing to drown out his silent rage.

Mr. Puzzles: I'll get you, you stupid, absolute idiotic WASTES OF SPACE!!

Mr. Puzzles screams at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing through the empty streets. But even in his anger, a dreadful sadness finds its way into his soul when he remembers the small voice that made him feel like he wasn't alone anymore.

Leggy: P- Puzzles nice!

Mr. Puzzles comes to a stop at a streetlight, he grabs onto it and suddenly bashes his head against it multiple times, breaking his screen and denting his head. He only stops when the pain is too much. He slides down to his knees as he bleeds from his head and onto the sidewalk, mangled sobs being the only thing that fills the air.

Mr. Puzzles: I failed. My father was right, I don't have creative vision, I just REEK of FAILURE!

Mr. Puzzles takes a small handmade flag that Leggy made for him out of his pocket, he looks it over and sobs more. His first and last friend has now turned against him.

Mr. Puzzles: . . . .is this what damnation feels like?

Mr. Puzzles leans against the streetlight for support as he continues to sob. But he stops abruptly and gets to his feet. At first, the plan was to make a small TV studio that would grow over time. But now, he has a new plan; find E. Gadd, and use whatever device he could get his hands on to give himself the life he deserves. Doesn't matter who he has to kill in the process.

E. Gadd was sitting in his chair when he hears a sound come from outside his lab. The elderly professor gets up and heads outside to see what's going on. Once outside, the professor shines his flashlight around the bushes surrounding his lab. Sounds of rustling are heard and the professor starts to panic, he shines the light in all directions and calls to the stranger to leave his lab alone.

The noises stop, a dead silence falls upon the place as the professor starts shaking, he turns around to head back inside, but he hits something. The professor looks up to see a beat up TV head with blood leaking from it. Mr. Puzzles grabs the professor by his head and lifts him up.

Mr. Puzzles: Forgive the intrusion, Mr. Gadd, but I need some of the stuff you have. Sadly, you're not going to be useful in anyway for the future.

Mr. Puzzles face lights up, without the screen, the blood illuminated with soft tissue and flesh.

Mr. Puzzles: So I'll have to fix that.

Mr. Puzzles slams E. Gadd into the metal wall of the lab over and over again, then tosses the professor's body into the front yard. Mr. Puzzles walks in and looks around for gadgets he can use, he flips things over and throws stuff around to find anything he can use. A rather large one catches his attention, Mr. Puzzles walks to it and reads what the plaque says.

Mr. Puzzles: A time machine? A time machine. A TIME MACHINE!!!

Mr. Puzzles takes off the tarp that covers the time machine and sets the travel date to just before Western Spagetti. He steps in the time machine and it takes him back. Mr. Puzzles opens his eyes to see his reflection, he's no longer beat up and bleeding.

Mr. Puzzles: It- it worked. I'm back, and in my younger self! Meaning my failure hasn't happened yet. Now, how to prevent it?

Mr. Puzzles gets an idea; he's going to watch Mario and get a sense of how the red Itailain acts when no one is around. And so, for the next month after Western Spagetti, Mr. Puzzles watches Mario from a distance, he watches as the red plumber's mind has changed, how it's far different to what he thought it'd be. So he gets an even better idea; what if he pushes Mario to his limit.

After WOTFI 2023, Mr. Puzzles influences Saiko subtly and makes her more aggressive. And soon, the fateful day happens. Mr. Puzzles watches from afar as Saiko puts a dent in Luigi's chest, nearly killing the green plumber. As the afternoon falls, Mr. Puzzles encounters a fumeing Meggy taking her anger out on a streetlight.

Meggy: Stupid Mario, telling me to shut up. He isn't even threatening! 'Shut up or I'll shut you up permenetly' AS IF!!

Mr. Puzzles: My my, you seem awfully mad at the streetlight.

Meggy turns to face Mr. Puzzles, her anger giving way to confusion as a tall TV headed guy talks to her.

Meggy: And who are you?

Mr. Puzzles: Mr. Puzzles, pleasure to meet you, Splatfest champion.

Meggy: Thought people forget about that.

Mr. Puzzles: What can I say? I'm a sucker for action like that. Mind telling me what's on your mind?

Meggy: Why?

Mr. Puzzles: I heard about what happened between you and that red plumber. While his anger seems partially justified, he didn't have to go off on you like he did.

Meggy: FINALLY! Someone understands! What I wouldn't do to get back at him.

Mr. Puzzles: Got any ideas as to how to do that?

Meggy: Peach-

Mr. Puzzles: She's dead.

Meggy: Oh, right. Uh, his house?

Mr. Puzzles: That this has been destroyed an uncountable amount of times, but has come back all the same.

Meggy: Then I got nothing.

Mr. Puzzles: What about his brother?

Meggy: Hurt Green more while Mario feels more shame for not protecting him again? I'm all for it!

Mr.Puzzles: Before we carry it out, it has to be calculated and orderly, else you get discovered and jailed. So let's plan for at least the week.

Mr. Puzzles and Meggy plan for the whole week, and the plan seems fullproof. Mr. Puzzles sneaks into 3's Coffee and Bombs to take the guardian's shoes and hoodie, a long with a coupon for more incriminating evidence. Once with Meggy, he hands her the stuff and she gets dressed. In case of emergency, Meggy brings a silenced pistol with her. Meggy makes it to the hospital and sneaks into Luigi's room where she messes with the equipment and intentionally leaves behind the coupon. Once she makes it out of the building, she takes off the hoodie and shoes, then bolts off into the night. . . . .
