Mario wakes up with a start, his breathing heavy as he looks around frantically. Soon he stands up and remembers whan happened the night prior. Mario darts off in the direction of the showgrounds to get help. When Mario reaches the SMG4 castle, his eyes widen as he stares at the now blazing building. Mario spots SMG3's coffee shop, now a piece of smoldering ash on the ground. Mario looks to see the SMGs tied up to a wooden pole. Mario rushes to them and quickly unties them, he checks them to see if they're okay - SMG4 has burns lining his back and forearms while SMG3 has a large burn on the left side of his face that runs down to his neck. Thankfully, both are still alive.
Mario drags the SMGs to a safe area and takes out his phone to call for help. All he's met with is a dial tone and Mr. Puzzles laughing. Mario throws his phone at the ground. SMG3 and 4 wake up and slowly get up.
SMG4: Mario?
Mario: SMG4! Are you alright?! What-a happened?!
SMG3: Some dude with a TV head almost killed us by setting our homes on fire!
Mario: At least you guys are okay. Come on, if you can walk, you can follow me to the hospital.
SMG4: What about everyone else?
Mario's eyes widen as he thinks SMG4's question over.
Mario: Can you guys get-a some help on-a your own?
SMG3: Leave it to me, I can still use my hands and SMG4 is too burned to do much else.
Mario: Be careful.
SMG4: We will, Mario. Now go! Make sure our friends are okay!
Mario takes off towards his house as the SMGs make their way to the hospital. When Mario arrives to his shared home, his eyes widen with fear at the sight of it just being some ash on he ground. Mario calls out to his brother again and again, and again, and again, and again.
Mario: LUIGI!!
Luigi comes out from behind a tree after waking up to Mario calling him. The green plumber runs to his brother and the two hug, grateful that both are unharmed and alright. Mario and Luigi make a plan to get to their friends and make sure they're alright. Mario and Luigi run off and go to Saiko's house first. Once there, they are surprised to see the red eyeball goop - from when the castle fell - covering the small house. The bros take out their fire flowers and give it all they got. The red goop burns and ignites as the bros pelt it with fire balls. When enough is burned away, Luigi makes a run for it and charges into the house while Mario fends off the tentacles going at Luigi. Once inside, Luigi meets eyes with Mr. Puzzles who is simply sitting on Saiko's couch.
Mr. Puzzles: I was wondering when you'd show.
Luigi: Where is she.
Mr. Puzzles: I'll give her back to you if you can complete this challenge.
Luigi: Challenge?

Luigi is confused when Mr. Puzzles' screen shows the challenge. He is snapped out of his thoughts when violent poundings are heard from behind a wall. The wall breaks the massive, yet lanky, form of an all red version of Mario comes out. He has long black hair that hasn't been combed is a long time. His moustache ends look like they've been burned. His pure white teeth and small eyes stand out the most as he looks down at Luigi.
