This one is a bit faster paced than I normally try to write, I just wanted to give you something because I'll be really busy with studying this week and won't be able to write much.

Henry was not having a good day. He woke up late, he fell down the stairs, and his parents didn’t make enough breakfast for the family of four that morning.

He was supposed to take a test at school today, but he was already late anyway, so he figured he would just skip school. He would have to deal with Charlotte’s wrath later. Oh well.

“Piper? Why aren’t you at school?” Henry questioned as he walked into the kitchen, seeing Piper still wearing her pajamas, which were pink.

“I’m going on a field trip, so there is really no reason to go to my first class, really.” Piper explained. Henry didn’t understand her logic, but he wasn’t going to say anything, considering he was skipping school himself.

He grabbed an apple, deciding that would be a good enough breakfast, and walked to junk and stuff. He still brought his backpack, so maybe he would get some homework done in the man cave.

On his way to junk n stuff, Ray had called him using the watch that he gave Henry when he first started his ‘job’.

“Henry! Shouldn’t you be at school right now?” Hologram Ray said.

“I got a cold,” Henry lied. “I’m skipping.”

“Well, can you still fight crime? Jeff’s on the loose again, probably doing something stupid.”

“Yeah, I’ll come over.” Henry said, as if he wasn’t already on his way.

Ray ended the call and Henry continued walking. He made it to Junk n stuff about five minutes later.

After going down the elevator, Henry walked towards the monitors hanging on the wall.

“So, where’s Jeff?” Henry asked Ray, who was sitting in the chair.

“The blood bank. Again.” Ray said, annoyed.

“Of course he is.” Henry rolled his eyes and grabbed his gum. Ray got up from the chair and grabbed his gum, too.

They both blew a bubble and their outfits transformed into the outfits of Captain Man and Kid Danger.

When they got to the blood bank, Jeff was trying to steal the air conditioning unit. Again.

“Jeff, why are you doing this again? It didn’t work a few months ago, why would it work now?” Henry questioned, annoyed.

“Because this time, I have backup.” Jeff spoke confidently.

Jeff coming prepared? He never did that. He was like, the stupidest villain ever.

“And who’s your backup?” Ray questioned.

“Me.” Spoke a voice from behind Henry, who he immediately recognized at Mitch Bilsky, who somehow was related to Jeff.

Henry couldn’t move fast enough before Mitch shoved a pocket knife into his side. Henry bit his lip in order to avoid screaming out as he turned and managed to detain Mitch Bilsky. At the same time he was detaining Mitch, Ray was detaining Jeff.

As soon as both Bilsky’s were detained, Ray rushed over to Henry, who was now leaning over, his hands on his knees. He was bleeding out of his side, and the blood was spilling fast.

“Kid!” Ray exclaimed, putting pressure on the wound.

Henry tried to push away due to the pain, but Ray refused to let him.

Henry eventually gave in and stopped trying to push away from Ray. He grabbed his phone and called Charlotte.

“Char?” He spoke quietly, his energy drained from the events of the day, and it was barely eleven in the morning.

“Henry? Why weren’t you in class?”
“I don’t think that’s important right now, Char. Get Jasp and meet me and CM at the man cave.” Henry spoke slowly, his words slurring together.

Ray took the phone from Henry, who was now drifting in and out of consciousness.

“Get to the man cave ASAP! The Kid’s in trouble!” Ray exclaimed into the phone, before hanging up. Henry took the phone back and put it in his pocket.

Henry groaned and tried to stay awake long enough to get back to the man cave, but he wasn’t able to. He took about three  steps before he fell, Captain Man barely catching him before he hit the ground.

Only a second later he gave into the pain and let darkness overtake him.

When Henry woke up again, he was in the man cave. He wasn’t in the Kid Danger suit anymore, and Charlotte, Jasper, Ray, and Shwoz were all around him.

Shwoz was running tests on him, Charlotte was doing her homework, Jasper was on his phone, and Ray had this look of worry on his face. He wasn’t doing anything else.

“Kid!” Ray yelled as soon as Henry had opened his eyes.

Henry groaned and looked around, trying to figure out what was going on. As he woke up more, he realized he was shirtless, with bandages wrapping his stomach. He was laying on the couch in the man cave, and Dog Judge was playing in the background.

“Henry!” Charlotte exclaimed. “Thank god you’re okay!”

“We were so worried, dude!” Jasper said.

Henry was so tired and so out of breath he didn’t even say anything. He just smiled at all of them, so that they knew he was understanding them.

After a while, Henry had managed to convince them all to let him sit up.

Ray had given Henry one of his sweatshirts to borrow, as any of Henry’s shirts and sweatshirts would rub against the bandages too much.

Henry, as he pretended to work on his homework to please Charlotte, leaned on Ray, and really watched Dog Judge instead.

Eventually, they all fell asleep sitting on the couch with each other, until Piper started sending mass messages to all of them until Henry finally answered Piper’s text, letting her know that they were all okay, and just spending the night in the man cave.

After that, they fell asleep again, and slept through the night, all leaning on each other with intertwined arms and legs and such. It might’ve been a really long day for Henry, and really painful, but he was happy he got to spend his day with his family.
