Thanks to me, Wednesday had to attend the Halloween party with Xavier. Although they were not matching when the four of us met on the shore of Raven's Island. Wednesday was wearing a dark brown suit and tie with an easily recognizable hat–Edgar Allan Poe's hat. But she wasn't wearing a mustache.

Xavier was easily recognized as a cat... with a red and white striped hat.

"I look sillier than I feel," he mumbled. "Wednesday was supposed to be the author of Cat in the hat."

"I thought you were talking about The Black Cat," Wednesday said, with an expression that told me she knew exactly what Xavier was talking about. Her eyes darted between Tyler and I. "What're you two supposed to be? Married?"

I laughed with a grin while avoiding Tyler's eye. He was very handsome and had a more contoured look since I persuaded him to let me dab a little makeup on his face. He was very squiggly the entire time, but he had the figure for Victor Van Dort.

His hair was darkened and slicked back, parted in the middle. The shoulder of his dark blazer was torn and he wore a matching tie. He had white striped pants and dress shoes. And to top it off, he had a purple boutonniere that matched my bouquet of purple roses.

I wore what looked like Victoria's final wedding dress at the end of the movie. But it was a little shorter so I could walk easier. I even had my hair up like hers with the same makeup look with Tim Burton's dead-eyes expression.

"No, they're Victor and Victoria from the Corpse Bride," Xavier corrected Wednesday. "But it would've been more obvious if Victoria was Emily."

"Victor doesn't love Emily though, does he?" Wednesday asked with a glimmer in her eyes as she looked over at me.

"I guess not," Xavier answered as we all neared the trail.

The trees along the trail were lit with usual Christmas lights that beamed orange and dark red, creating a pathway for us. Autumn leaves were scattered on the ground as Tyler and I followed the couple in front of us, arm-in-arm.

"Let's get this over with," Wednesday said as we all finally arrived.

The music that was playing made me realize this was the first party I'd ever been to in my life. On paper, it wasn't a big deal–but socially, it was considering how many there've been outside of Nevermore.

"Did I mention how beautiful you look?" Tyler whispered as we were examining the wild fest.

"Yes," I blushed and added, "You look great, Victor Van Dort. However, my friend Tyler Galpin is far more handsome."

Tyler chuckled as he shrugged–which I noticed was something he always did when he got shy.

Enid saw me from a distance and gawked as she made her way over to me excitedly. She was dressed in the opposite attire as she usually would wear–a black leather jacket with a white dress. Her nails were painted black and her hair was her natural blonde.

"Are you supposed to be Tiffany Valentine?" I asked as Enid nodded excitedly.

"We're brides!" Enid gasped excitedly and looked at Tyler with the same excitement. "Oh my god, you guys look-"

"-We look like we're getting married, yeah," I said, knowing what she was going to say. "Wednesday already made the assumption."

"Is that a bad assumption?" Tyler asked.

I bit my lips and shrugged as Enid butted in and said, "Actually, I was going to say you guys look like you might win the costume competition!"

Enid laughed as Ajax joined her, wearing the iconic Chucky outfit with a rubber knife in his pocket. Fake blood was splattered on his face as he greeted Tyler with a pat on the back.
