The rain poured down heavily, soaking the streets as Bible sped through the city, his heart pounding. He had just hung up the phone, his mind racing with what he'd just learned. Jeff, the man he’d fallen for—the one who had captured his heart from the moment he heard him sing at the club—was the killer. The one Bible had sworn to bring to justice. The irony of it stung deep, and Bible’s chest tightened as he navigated the dark roads to the house he knew Jeff would be at.

The murders had haunted the city for months, each one tied to the same families. Three murders, all carefully executed, each victim part of the conspiracy that had destroyed Jeff’s family years ago. Bible now understood the reason behind it. The families had framed Jeff’s parents, leading to their deaths. It was a personal vendetta, a bloody one. And now, everything had come full circle.

The rain poured relentlessly as Bible sped through the empty streets, his mind racing. His fingers hovered over his phone, knowing what he had to do next. With trembling hands, he dialed Jeff’s number, the ringing filling the silence in his car. Jeff answered after the second ring, but neither of them spoke. Bible’s heart clenched. He had to warn him.

"They're coming ," Bible finally said, his voice barely audible. He waited, the tension between them thick and suffocating.

Neither of them said anything. Silence was the only answer Jeff gave before Bible hung up, his heart pounding painfully in his chest. He knew what he was about to do. The house loomed ahead, dark and foreboding. Bible’s pulse raced as he parked, stepping out into the cold rain. His clothes were soaked, the cold was nothing compared to the ache inside.

As he entered the house, blood was already staining the floors, splattered on the walls like a gruesome piece of art. His breath hitched, and the air felt suffocating. His gun was out, steady in his hands as he moved deeper into the house.

Then he heard a sound behind him.

"Officer Wichapas Sumetikul," a voice spoke from behind him, sending a shiver down his spine.

Bible froze, his grip tightening on the gun. He closed his eyes for a moment, the pain of betrayal washing over him

Bible didn’t turn around immediately, but he knew. His body tensed when he heard Jeff’s voice softer, yet filled with so much that it hurt.

"You should have left," Bible murmured, his voice tight, speaking without facing him, staring at the blood-stained floor instead.

"I can’t leave without seeing you," Jeff’s voice was low, almost gentle.

Bible felt Jeff’s presence close behind him before Jeff wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling him back into his embrace. His chin rested on Bible’s shoulder as the rainwater dripped from Bible’s soaked clothes.

"I ruined everything. I’m sorry for ruining our love," Jeff whispered, his breath ghosting over Bible’s neck.

Bible’s chest tightened with agony as he turned slowly in Jeff’s arms, looking at the man he had once loved with every fiber of his being. The rain mixed with the tears he didn’t want to shed. He stared into Jeff’s eyes, pain etched deep in them, and his heart shattered even more.

Jeff reached up and gently caressed Bible’s cheek, his thumb wiping away a tear that slid down. "I’m sorry," Jeff said softly, the guilt heavy in his voice.

Before Bible could respond, Jeff’s lips met his. The kiss was tender, filled with sorrow and regret, but just as Bible started to kiss him back, a sharp pain exploded in his stomach. Bible’s eyes widened, and he gasped, pulling away from Jeff, his hand instinctively reaching for his belly.
