So much has happened in the past few days that I can't wrap my head around, but today I have to put all the crazy shit aside for a minute and focus on the reason why I am in this town in the first place, my first day at college.

Slowly running my hands through my wet hair I feel the water trickling down my back as I am placed underneath the shower head.

I take a moment to release a long awaited breath I have trapped within me, but suddenly, I feel a sharp pain slice the back of my neck.

What was that? I look towards my shoulder but see no visible mark that would cause this type of breathtaking pain. Brushing it off, I revert back to washing my hair.

Wrapping a towel around my body, I turn toward the mirror and give myself a pep talk for the day ahead.

"You are going to be okay..." Sighing as I look at my reflection, I repeat my words again and again to convince myself.

Later that morning I decided to keep my spirits high and stable by watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy, probably not the right show for that.

A few episodes deep into Greys, I am now slouched on my couch, as I reach over and grab my phone checking to see if Stephanie has called yet, my heart has a mini jump as I realise the time displayed.

Quickly, I grab my belongings and bolt out of my front door hoping I just make it in the nick of time.

Now running through the halls of my new college, I stumble across my class in full course, peering into the window I see everyone's taking notes as the lecturer speaks. This is not a good time for my anxiety to kick in.

"Can I help you?" A fellow student catches my attention as I frantically push myself up against the wall in embarrassment.

"Erm sure yeah is this class 38B?" The sign above my head displays the room number I just labelled as the student flickers his eyes above and then back down to me. I can see the cogs turning in his brain as he tries to comprehend my idiotic question.

"Yes it is." He points to the display like I am an idiot.

"Thank you. Also, I don't suppose you know if it has already started or they are just getting everything ready..." I try to push my luck.

"It looks like it's in full motion." He peers into the window at the side of me as I take a deep sigh.

"Good luck." He realises my situation as he smirks and walks away back down the hallway. What a dick.

Finally, I take the risk and the doors swing open, as I pass through an instant silence is swept across the auditorium as all the attention is soon diverted upon my presence.

"Can we help you?" The lecturer speaks towards me as I stand frozen at the doorway.

"I'm just running a little late." I start to panic over my words as I hear sniggers come from all directions of the auditorium.

"Please take a seat." He calmly answers which is the exact opposite to how I am feeling at this very moment in time.

I do as he says and find a seat next to a girl who has one earbud in while the other is hanging to the floor as she is looking in all other directions rather than the front of the class.

Awkwardly, I sit myself upon the seat which is free next to her.

"Do you think this nail colour suits me?" She holds her nails in front of my view which catches me by surprise.
