The morning sunlight streamed through Elena's window, illuminating her bedroom. She stretched, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about returning to Kingston High after the dramatic birthday party.

As she dressed, Elena's mind replayed the events: Amanda's jealousy, Andrea's interest, and her mom's explosive confrontation with Isabel. Downstairs, Elena found her dad, John, sipping coffee.
"Hey, kiddo! Ready for your first day back?" he asked, smiling. Elena nodded, taking a seat beside him.

"Is everything okay, Dad? With Mom, I mean?" Elena asked, concern etched on her face. John's expression turned serious. "We'll talk about it later, sweetie. Today, focus on school and your friends." Elena nodded, knowing her dad would handle it.
At Kingston High, the hallways buzzed with students chatting about summer break and weekend parties.

Amanda, flanked by Kristina and Tiffany, glared at Elena from across the hallway.

"Well, well, well. Look who's back," Amanda sneered
Elena stood tall, her confidence growing. "Hey, Amanda. Ready to put the drama behind us?" Elena asked, smiling.
Amanda's eyes narrowed. "You think you can steal Andrea from me? Think again, Elena."

Elena shrugged. "I'm not interested in your boyfriend, Amanda."
Amanda's glare targeted Elena. "Stay away from him, Elena. He's mine." Elena stood tall. "I'm not interested in drama, Amanda."
Amanda's smile twisted. ."We'll see about that." As Amanda stormed off, Elena spotted Andrea watching from afar, his eyes locked on hers.

"Elena, can I talk to you?" Andrea asked, approaching. "Sure," Elena replied, her heart skipping a beat. " I wanted to apologize for the party. I didn't mean to make things awkward."

Elena smiled. "No need to apologize. We're friends, Andrea." Andrea's gaze lingered, and Elena sensed a spark of attraction.

"Friends, huh?" Andrea said, smiling. Elena nodded. "For now." "So, what's up between you and Amanda?" Elena asked, curiosity getting the better of her.

Andrea's expression turned serious. "Amanda and I... we've been on and off for years. But it's complicated. She's possessive, controlling... sometimes I feel suffocated."
Elena's empathy kicked in. "I get it. You deserve better.".Andrea's gaze locked onto hers. "I think I do too."

The air thickened with tension. "Elena, can I ask you something?" Andrea said, his voice low. "Anything," Elena replied, her heart racing.

"Do you... feel something between us?" Andrea asked, his eyes searching hers. "I... I don't know what you mean," she stammered.."Don't play coy, Elena. I've seen the way you look at me."

Just then, Amanda appeared, her eyes blazing. "Andrea, we need to talk," Amanda snapped, her voice icy. Andrea stepped back, his expression neutral. "Amanda, what's up?"

Amanda's eyes flashed. "You know exactly what's up," Amanda spat, her voice venomous. Andrea's expression remained neutral.."Amanda, we've been over this. We're done."

Amanda's face twisted.."You think you can just move on to... her?" Amanda gestured toward Elena, her gaze dismissing her.
Andrea's voice firm."Amanda, I deserve better than your games and possessiveness."Amanda's eyes narrowed.

"You'll regret this. She's not worthy of you."
Andrea sighed. "Amanda, we'll talk later, okay? When you're calm." Amanda's laughter sent chills. "You think I'll calm down? You think you can just dismiss me?"
Andrea's voice remained firm. "Amanda, stop. We'll talk later." Amanda's gaze locked onto Andrea's. "This isn't over."

Amanda spun on her heel, her eyes never acknowledging Elena's presence. Elena felt a pang of invisibility, as if she didn't exist.
Andrea turned back to Elena, his expression apologetic."Sorry about that," Andrea said, his voice low.E lena's smile wobbly."No need to apologize."
