"You know what I heard?" Heechul leaned in conspiratorially, his voice a low murmur amidst the din of the crowded street. "They say Yuta's Restaurant has the best sushi in town."

Leeteuk, his eyes scanning the bustling avenue, nodded thoughtfully. "Is that so?" He was the kind of guy who took food recommendations seriously, especially when it came from someone as adventurous as Heechul. The two friends had spent countless evenings exploring the culinary delights hidden in the labyrinthine streets of the city.

The rest of their group, a lively assembly of ten, had gathered around the reservation sign. Hangeng, ever the punctual one, had secured the table well before their agreed-upon time. Now, as they shuffled in, the warm light of the restaurant spilling onto the pavement, their excitement grew palpable. The scent of fresh wasabi and soy sauce wafted through the air, mingling with the sound of sizzling teppanyaki and the clink of chopsticks.

Yushi, the young waiter assigned to their table, glided over with a smile so bright it could've been plucked straight from the pages of a manga. His movements were swift and precise as he placed a menu before each of them. The pages were like a gourmet bible, filled with colorful photographs and tantalizing descriptions that made their stomachs rumble in unison. He greeted them with a courteous bow, his hair slicked back and his apron immaculate.

The group eagerly dove into the selection, each one voicing their preferences. Kangin, the self-proclaimed sushi aficionado, suggested they start with the omakase, a chef's choice that promised to showcase the freshest catch of the day. Yesung, a man of refined tastes, nodded in agreement, his eyes lighting up at the thought of the culinary journey they were about to embark on. Meanwhile, Ryeowook and Sungmin, both with a penchant for spice, called for a round of wasabi cocktails to complement their meal. Kyuhyun, ever the considerate one, reminded everyone of their shared love for uni and insisted on ordering an extra platter for the table.

Two hours later, their table was a battleground of empty plates and discarded chopsticks. Conversation had waxed and waned, punctuated by gasps of delight and sighs of satisfaction. The once pristine white cloth was now a canvas of sauces and scattered grains of rice. Heechul leaned back, patting his full belly with a contented smile, while Leeteuk and Hangeng debated the nuances of the different sake flavors they had sampled.

Yushi, the attentive waiter, returned with the check. His smile had not dimmed despite the flurry of requests and the occasional food fight that had erupted during the meal. He placed the neatly folded bill on the table and wished them a good evening in his melodic Japanese accent. The group paused their banter, their eyes widening at the total. It was steeper than they had anticipated, but the memory of the mouthwatering dishes made the cost feel justified.
