Yunho sat by the open window, the evening breeze gently ruffling his hair. He stared out into the quiet street, his eyes lingering on the house next door. It was a quaint, two-story building with a well-kept garden that always seemed to be humming with life. A small, hand-painted sign swung from a wooden post by the gate, announcing in cheerful letters: "Leeteuk's House of Wonders." Despite the mundane name, the place was anything but ordinary. It was where the most unexpected and exhilarating parties in the neighborhood took place, and tonight was no exception.Jaejoong sauntered in, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "You coming to the party?" He tossed a crumpled paper at Yunho, who caught it deftly. The invitation was simple but elegant, with an intricate gold embossed seal in the corner. It was from Leeteuk, their neighbor and the unofficial ringleader of their group of friends. The note read: "An evening of revelry awaits. Don't disappoint."
Yunho couldn't help but smile at the familiar handwriting. "Always the dramatic one," he murmured, smoothing out the paper. The party was to celebrate Leeteuk's latest promotion at work, and everyone was invited—Yoochun, Changmin, and Junsu included. They had all been looking forward to it for weeks, eager to unwind after a hectic month.
They arrived at Leeteuk's house to a symphony of laughter and music that spilled from the open windows, mingling with the scent of sizzling barbecue. The garden was alight with twinkling fairy lights, casting a warm, magical glow over the lively gathering. Jaejoong, ever the social butterfly, was the first to bound through the gate, greeting everyone with a charismatic wave. Yunho followed more cautiously, his eyes scanning the faces of the guests.
As they approached the house, they heard the unmistakable sound of a guitar being tuned. Turning the corner, they saw Heechul, Eunhyuk, and Donghae sitting in a circle with their instruments, surrounded by a small crowd. The trio looked up and grinned in unison, beckoning them over. "You're just in time," Heechul called out, his voice as smooth as the chords he was playing. "We're about to serenade the king of the night."
The door swung open before they could knock, revealing Leeteuk in all his glory. He was dressed in a flamboyant outfit that would have put a peacock to shame, his hair styled into a majestic mane. "Welcome, my dear friends," he said, his smile as wide as the grand archway that framed him. "Tonight, we feast, we dance, and we revel in the joy of good company."
Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin stepped into the foyer, their eyes widening at the sight of the opulently decorated interior. The walls were adorned with streamers and balloons, and the floor was scattered with confetti in a rainbow of colors. The aroma of grilled meat and spices filled the air, making their stomachs rumble in unison. Jonghyun, the last to enter, closed the door behind them, his eyes twinkling with excitement.
Taemin, ever the thoughtful host, had brought along a plus one—his friend Kai. The two of them had met through a shared love of street dance and had become inseparable over the past few months. Kai, tall and tanned, looked around the room with a mix of curiosity and awe. He had heard tales of Leeteuk's legendary parties, but experiencing it firsthand was something else entirely.
As they mingled, the sound of breaking glass shattered the air. The music stuttered to a halt, and all eyes turned to the source of the commotion. There, standing in the archway to the dining room, was a slightly flustered Jungwoo, a shard of a wine glass in his hand and a pool of red liquid at his feet. The room was silent for a moment before a burst of laughter erupted. It was quickly muffled when Leeteuk shot a playful glare at the culprits, reminding everyone that the night was for fun, not judgment.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Taemin slipped away from the group and headed upstairs, eager to explore the house. The staircase was lined with framed photos of past parties, each one more wild than the last. As he reached the top, he heard a faint sound coming from one of the doors. It was the unmistakable sound of a guitar being played—poorly. Taemin's curiosity piqued, he tiptoed closer and gently pushed the door open.
