Gender rant.

TW: Cursing, kinda mad-ish rant, social norms, mentions of stereotypes.
(Lmk if I need to add more or if one is innaccurate.)


The way society tends to view gender is incredibly ignorant.
Not all women are all feminine.
Not all men are masculine.
Really, it depends more so on the way someone's raised to show their personality. Yes, hormones and such do play a part, but stereotypes aren't accurate for everyone.

It's the question of "nature or nurture," and not just "oh, he's a guy, that's why he's impulsive and angry." NO. That guy may have (both past and present) a stressful household that makes him stressed and lash out. It may be a mental illness he can't control. Maybe he's trying to fit in to the norm. You don't know!

Don't say "oh, she's a girl, she's just shy because of her gender." SHUT YOUR SEXIST ASS UP. She may have anxiety, she may have a disorder that effects her speech, she may be introverted or just not want to talk much, she could have been raised to be more quiet and soft spoken. You don't know the environmental situation she's in.

Sometimes, people's gender and hormones may play a factor in their personality, yes, but to assume that it's only gender is bullshit.


Also, gender seperation is also stupid.
I am aware that it may be for religious reasons, social norms, etc. But still, regardless of something's reasoning, if it's harmful, it's harmful.

It especially causes struggles in the trans community. Where is the bigender/intersex person supposed to go when the bathroom is only for men and women? What about the closeted trans girl? Why should she have to hide herself due to your damn "social norm?"

Overall, gender seperation is sexist and very rooted in old ideology and tradition.
If we want the new era to not have this damn internalized and intentional sexism, hate, and misinformation to go on, we need to snap out of our haze of the norm the past generations brainwashed us into.

If you like to be traditional, sure, go ahead. It's your choice. As long as you and the people around you (and yourself) are safe, and happy, go crazy, do what you want.
