you wore kaji's hoodie on top of your school uniform since you were going to give it back to him later. it reached over your school blouse and hid the. majority of your hand.

"y/nnnn!" you felt an impact on your back as you walked through the school halls. "how did you cut your own arm??"

"oww, get off me first!" you yelled, trying to escape from her hug because you almost choked on the lollipop.

"oh right, sorry!" lana uncoiled her arms from your body and you faced her properly, seeing haru behind her.

lana and haru were your best friends in school; you were all second years and in the same class. they also knew kaji and the others because they met once or twice with you.

lana's personality was much like yours: positive, supportive and loving. she had waist-length wavy pink hair she always tied in a high ponytail and whatever she wore always gave a fairycore or baby blue and white aesthetic.

haru meanwhile was almost the complete opposite of her, with her short black hair with the tips dyed blue in a wolf cut. she thought negatively and loved her alone time. she liked to wear comfy, baggy clothes and didn't care much for style.

"how's your arm?" haru asked, the usual hooded gaze traveling to the bandage.

"ehh, it's fine, i guess," you replied. "the doctor said it takes a week to recover. it's only been four days, but...it doesn't hurt, so it should be fine!"

"i was so worried for youu!" lana said, hugging you again. "who took you to the hospital?"

you felt like you were being interrogated but answered anyway, "kaji was at my house at the time, so—"

"wait wait wait, what?" haru stopped you, giving you a look. "he was at your house..? kaji-san? the one with headphones?"

lana gasped overdramatically. "for real? kaji-kun, the one you're always with??"

"yeah..?"

lana and haru exchanged an eyebrow raising and lana put her arm around your shoulder. "girlie...what were you doing with him at that time?"

"we were planning to make lollipop stuff," you said, looking at her skeptically. "what are you implying?"

"suspicious..." haru mumbled. "why did you have a knife?"

"oh well it's so obvious, we were gonna kill someone," you said sarcastically.

"we're helping you, y/nn! i also personally think kaji-kun is attractive, but he'd look way better if he dated you." lana winked at you.

"huh?! date? me? him??" your mind lagged for a second. "nah, we're just friends."

"that's how it always starts," haru said casually. "then the male lead catches feelings but the girl doesn't yet, then enter a new second male lead and then male lead gets jealous. then the female lead catches feelings and stops talking to the second lead and then the male lead confesses and she confesses back. but it takes so long, it's irritating."

"...huh? well—my life isn't a romance movie or a wattpad fanfic or anything, so that won't happen," you said, scoffing.

"you never know~" lana replied in a sing-song voice. "i can see how much he cares for you. like that one time! when we went out to get ice cream and you had some on your cheek and he wiped with a tissue?! aaaaaaah! that was literally a scene from a romcom!"

"eh." you shrugged, then continued to walk toward your classroom. "we're gonna be late, hurry up!"
