Adwoah and Praise went to the clothing store after visiting the market to buy some groceries. Praise picked plain clothes with dim colours while Adwoah picked bright coloured clothes and more fashioned ones.
"Why did u pick clothes for cleaners and room servers?", She stormed after seeing Praise's selections.
"Is there a problem with my choices?", She asked quite scared because of the look on Adwoah's face.
"Oh so u don't see the problem right. You are a designer for heaven's sake. How could u pick these?"
"Thought they.... were good"
"Good u say, these clothes are far from good. You know what, go get us some fruits and drinks while I deal with the clothes and shoes", Adwoah commanded.
"Yes ma", praise chuckled as she left the clothing store to the food section all in one building.
"You don't get to call me mom when we are in public, don't you want me to get a boyfriend", she smiled.
"A boyfriend???", Praise turned asked looking shocked.
"Hmm, now be quick", she said shoving her away.
Caleb happened to be in the clothing store to get some dress for his sisters because they've been bothering him with that for about a month now. Caleb got mesmerized by her beauty and stood at the corner of the room just admiring Adwoah's beauty.
"Sir please do u want me to help you choose some dresses?", The shop keeper asked him.
"Uhm yes", he replied coming back from his day dream.
Praise stood behind the door waiting for Adwoah to come out so that they could live after she bought what they needed. Adwoah was done with Praise's clothes and sent them to the counter to pay for them. Unfortunately, her card was empty and it made a loud embarrassing beep when it was brought closer to the scanning machine. The shop keeper have her a scornful look thinking she was a thrift and wanted to rob her. Adwoah searched her to see if she could get some cash but there was none. Praise had her ear pods in her ears with her back facing the shop so she was not aware of all that was happening. Caleb was done with his and saw what Adwoah was going through. The shop attendant did not waste time to start insulting and rebuking her.
"Now I'll not have u insult me because I have a blank card. I wasn't aware of it else I wouldn't have come here in the first place", Adwoah hissed.
"Then pay me or you leave the things here miss theif!"
"Is that how u treat customers?", Caleb asked interrupting the argument.
"No sir but if we don't show these people their place they will never learn"
"And are u in that position to do so?.. like this?", Caleb said approaching the counter.
"Here, take this card for mine and deduct hers from it as well", Caleb stated and handed over his card to her. Ashamed, she hurriedly checked the card and returned it, wrapping the clothes for them.
"Thank you so much sir. God bless you", Adwoah said.
"You are welcome my dear. You know this can happen to me as well and I hope not to meet this girl here during that time", Caleb rolled his eyes causing Adwoah to chuckle.
"I'm so sorry sir, please forgive me", the lady apologized.
"I hope this does not repeat itself else I'd make sure u are fired."
" Thank u sir",the lady bowed as Caleb and Adwoah departed from her presence.
Praise felt a tap on her shoulder and decided to turn and see who it was. "So this is Praise, my sister friend", Adwoah introduced her to Caleb.
"Nice meeting u miss Praise", Caleb shook hands with her while winking.
"My pleasure sir", Praise forced a smile.
"What kept u so long in there?", Praise whispered to Adwoah.
"My credit card failed, I had no cash on me and this gentleman here saved my face in there", Adwoah explained.
"Ah, thanks sir Caleb for your help today", Praise said.
"Oh that's not a problem Praise", Caleb replied with a smile.
"Do u 2 know each other cause I don't remember mentioning her name to you and you too seem to be old aquatintances", Adwoah asked.
"Yes Monday, I met Caleb at CC yesterday. He works there".
"Oh so that explains it, that means u 2 are colleagues then".
"Sure Miss Adw..."
"Call me Monday", Adwoah cut him before he pronounced something else.
"Monday it is then. Is that the meaning of your name?"
"Yes, its the name for every Ghanaian female born on Monday"
"Great, such a wonderful culture there"
"We gotta get going Sir, see u at work tomorrow", Praise interrupted.
"Right, thank you once again Sir. See u some other time", Adwoah could not finish her sentence than Praise pulled her away.
"Interesting ladies",Caleb stated and left to his car."I swear to u Praise, I'd have ripped out that girl's eyes should that handsome man not intervened", Adwoah argued after they had gone home.
"I trust you on that dearest", praise giggled.
"She should thank her stars for that guy"
"Hmm mm. Speaking of Caleb, do u like him?", Praise asked looking at her with curious eyes.
"Why would you say that?", Adwoah asked back looking surprised and blushing a bit.
"Well is that not obvious. You've been talking about how nice he looks since we returned."
"Oh really?"
"Yes ma'am"
"But he's certainly nice isn't he and besides, you know Adwoah never give compliments on ugly apes"
"Now that's been felt ok, it's good we're not in the mist of guys else you'd be dead by now", Praise laughed.
"You can't kill me because I'm very sincere about your looks. Can you?", She smiled and they began taking their clothes out.
