As soon as the door clicked shut behind them, the energy in the room shifted. Jake, who had been so full of excitement and energy moments ago, suddenly seemed quieter. Softer. He turned on a small lamp in the corner of the room, casting a warm glow over everything. "Make yourself comfortable," he murmured, his voice carrying a gentle warmth.
Heeseung wandered over to the couch, sinking into it with a sigh of relief. The exhaustion of the day was catching up to him, but somehow, being here with Jake made everything feel lighter. Calmer.
Jake sat down next to him, close enough that their knees almost touched, but not quite. Heeseung could feel the warmth radiating from him, and for a moment, they just sat there in comfortable silence.
Heeseung felt something shift next to him, and before he knew it, Jake had leaned over, resting his head on Heeseung's shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world. "You okay?" Jake asked softly.
"Yeah," Heeseung smiled, "Just...exhausted. You know how it is."
"Mhm." Jake snuggled in closer, his cheek now resting on Heeseung's chest. "You always work too hard."
Heeseung let out a soft laugh, wrapping an arm around Jake's waist without thinking. "Someone's gotta do it."
Jake's response was a soft hum, his body relaxing even further against Heeseung's. He closed his eyes for a moment, sinking into the comfort of the moment, when suddenly Jake lifted his head, blinking sleepily at him. "You're comfy, you know that?"
"Am I?" Heeseung grinned, giving Jake's hair a gentle ruffle.
"Yeah," Jake mumbled, leaning back into his shoulder, "You smell like coffee and...I don't know, just...something all warm and cuddly."
Heeseung couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head. "I've been making mochas for hours, what do you expect?"
"I like it." Jake's voice was soft, almost dreamy, and he snuggled in closer, burying his face in Heeseung's neck. The sudden warmth of Jake's breath on his skin sent a shiver down Heeseung's spine, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It was...nice.
Without thinking, Heeseung tilted his head slightly, pressing his cheek against the top of Jake's head. For a moment, it was just quiet between them, the soft sound of their breathing filling the space.
But out of nowhere, Jake turned his head, pressing a soft kiss to Heeseung's neck. Heeseung froze, surprised by the sudden affection, but Jake didn't seem to notice. He just sighed contentedly, his lips brushing against Heeseung's skin again in an innocent, absent-minded kiss.
"Jake..." Heeseung started, but his voice was caught in his throat as Jake lifted his head, blinking up at him with a small, sleepy smile.
"Hmm?" Jake's face was still so close, their noses almost touching, and Heeseung felt his breath hitch in his throat.
Heeseung was about to say something—anything—to break the tension when Jake leaned up and kissed him. It was soft, so quick Heeseung almost didn't register it. But then Jake pulled back just a little, and Heeseung realized what had happened.
"You—" Heeseung started, but before he could finish his sentence, Jake kissed him again, this time lingering a little longer. It wasn't heated or rushed, just slow and gentle, like Jake was savoring the moment.
Heeseung's hand instinctively moved to cup Jake's cheek, his thumb brushing against his skin as Jake melted further into the kiss. They stayed like that for a while, their lips meeting in soft, random kisses that felt natural, easy.
When Jake finally pulled back again, he let out a breathless laugh. "Sorry," he mumbled, "I don't know why I just did that."
Heeseung shook his head, chuckling softly. "Don't apologize." He squeezed Jake's shoulder gently, pulling him even closer. "I'll never mind it."
Jake beamed at that, his arms wrapping around Heeseung's waist as he nuzzled into his chest again. "Good," he whispered, "Because I don't think I'm done."
Heeseung didn't even get a chance to respond before Jake tilted his head up, pressing another soft kiss to his lips. This time, Heeseung kissed him back more firmly, his arms wrapping around Jake's waist and pulling him closer until Jake was practically in his lap.
The kisses kept coming, slow and tender at first, but then growing more frequent, more playful. Every now and then, Jake would pull back just to grin at Heeseung before diving back in, peppering his cheeks and neck with light, teasing kisses.
At one point, Jake suddenly flopped sideways, pulling Heeseung down onto the couch with him. "You're staying here now," Jake declared with a playful smile, draping himself over Heeseung like a human blanket.
Heeseung laughed, his arms automatically wrapping around Jake as they shifted into a comfortable position. "Oh, am I?"
"Yup," Jake nodded, resting his head on Heeseung's chest again. "You're too comfy to let go."
Heeseung rolled his eyes, but there was a smile on his lips as he ran a hand through Jake's hair, smoothing it back gently. "Well, I guess I don't have much of a choice then."
"Nope." Jake's voice was muffled against Heeseung's chest, but he didn't care. He just laid there, feeling Jake's weight pressing down on him, the warmth of his body radiating against his own.
Without warning, Jake suddenly lifted his head again, planting another kiss on Heeseung's lips—this one longer, deeper, as if he couldn't get enough. When they finally pulled apart, Jake grinned. "You're really bad for me, you know that?"
Heeseung chuckled, shaking his head. "I think it's the other way around."
They stayed like that for a while longer, exchanging soft kisses and random bursts of affection—Jake brushing his fingers through Heeseung's hair, Heeseung tracing the curve of Jake's back with his hand. It was easy, natural, like they'd done this a thousand times before.
