The wedding venue looked absolutely magical, as though it had been plucked straight out of a dream. Royal blue and white adorned every corner, from the cascading tablecloths to the soft drapery that hung elegantly from the ceiling. The floral arrangements were stunning, bursting with white roses and blue hydrangeas, each bloom placed with meticulous precision. The aisle was lined with soft white candles that flickered warmly against the sunlight streaming through the tall glass windows. Everything was flawless, a testament to Heeseung's hard work.
Jake stood off to the side, watching Heeseung move like a whirlwind through the space. He was dressed sharply in a royal blue suit with a perfectly tailored fit, and Jake couldn't help but smile as he saw the subtle exhaustion in Heeseung's every movement. Even as he directed the wedding staff and double-checked last-minute details, Heeseung's determination never faltered.
Jake leaned against a pillar, arms crossed, as he admired Heeseung from afar. His heart swelled with pride. Every single detail of this wedding screamed Heeseung's dedication and love for his family. Watching him in his element—poised, commanding, and endlessly thoughtful—reminded Jake of just how remarkable Heeseung truly was.
When Heeseung finally approached Jake, his steps were slower, his shoulders sagging slightly. Without a word, he slumped against Jake, his head landing squarely on Jake's shoulder. His body leaned heavily into him, all of his energy seemingly spent. Jake instinctively wrapped an arm around Heeseung's waist, steadying him.
"Tired?" Jake teased softly, though his tone was full of affection.
"Completely," Heeseung mumbled, his voice muffled against Jake's shoulder. "I've been running around all morning. My legs hate me."
Jake chuckled, tilting his head slightly to press a kiss to the top of Heeseung's head. "You've done an amazing job. Everything looks perfect."
Heeseung let out a quiet hum, his hands loosely clutching Jake's jacket as he stayed in his comfortable position. "Think so?"
Jake tightened his hold on Heeseung, resting his chin atop his head. "I know so. You've pulled off something incredible here."
For a few moments, they stayed like that—Heeseung clinging to Jake like he was his anchor, and Jake offering all the support he could. It was a rare, quiet moment amidst the chaos, and Jake treasured it.
Eventually, Heeseung reluctantly straightened up, his cheeks slightly pink as he mumbled something about needing to make sure the bride's bouquet was delivered on time. Jake grinned as he watched him go, shaking his head fondly.

Hours later, the main wedding began, and the venue came alive with a quiet elegance. Guests filled the seats, their laughter and chatter weaving together into a harmonious symphony. The soft melody of the piano filled the room as the bride made her grand entrance, her royal blue and white bouquet perfectly matching the theme.
Jake sat in the second row, his eyes not on the bride but on Heeseung. Heeseung stood near the altar, his role as the best man keeping him front and center. He looked radiant, the exhaustion from earlier replaced with a serene pride as he watched his brother exchange vows with his bride.
The ceremony was beautiful, seamless, and utterly perfect. Every detail fell into place as if by magic, but Jake knew better. This wasn't magic—it was Heeseung's work. He'd been the backbone of this entire event, and seeing him now, smiling warmly as his brother kissed the bride, made Jake's heart ache with admiration.
When the ceremony ended and the newlyweds walked down the aisle to the sound of cheers and applause, Heeseung finally returned to Jake's side. He sank into the seat next to him, his shoulders slumping in relief.
"You did it," Jake whispered, leaning close.
Heeseung turned to him, his lips curling into a small but tired smile. "Yeah," he said softly, his voice tinged with satisfaction. "It's over."
Jake reached over, taking Heeseung's hand in his. "You were amazing."
Heeseung didn't respond immediately, but the way his fingers tightened around Jake's said everything.
For the rest of the evening, Jake stayed by Heeseung's side. Through the reception, the toasts, and the endless congratulations from family and friends, Jake was there—offering silent support, sneaking in little touches and whispers to keep Heeseung grounded.
And as the night wound down and the lights dimmed, Jake found himself pulling Heeseung aside, away from the crowd.
"Hey," he said, cupping Heeseung's face gently. "You're incredible, you know that?"
Heeseung's eyes softened, and for the first time that day, Jake saw all the walls Heeseung had built up crumble.
"Thank you," Heeseung murmured, his voice barely audible over the distant music.
Jake smiled, leaning in to press a tender kiss to Heeseung's lips. "You deserve all the happiness in the world, Hee. And I'll make sure you get it."
In that moment, with the world quiet and still around them, Jake knew one thing for certain—he was never letting Heeseung go again.
