If Pon were to say it himself, rolling in bed with Sailub was truly confusing.
City A had just experienced an autumn rain, the ground covered in fallen leaves, only slightly yellowing at the edges, the girls on the street still wearing light clothing, and his “THE ONE” advertisement displayed on the roadside screens.
He sat in the car, watching the aloof model in the advertisement, wearing the clothes he designed, like a prince high above, noble without any fireworks.
The “THE ONE” logo embroidered on the chest was specially made with gold thread, gleaming.
When he was interviewed by the media about the meaning of “THE ONE”, he casually said that he wanted to become a unique designer, but only he knew that this brand name was created when he was still with Sailub, doodling and writing on his notebook, leaving it there unconsciously.
Later, after they broke up, he shouldn’t have used such an ominous ex’s name.
But when he registered, he acted unconsciously and typed those few letters.
Pon pressed his temples, perhaps that encounter at the banquet had left him thinking about Sailub these days.
Not a good sign.
Taking advantage of the driver’s journey, he took a brief nap in the car.
That day he was going to participate in an exhibition in the neighboring city.
After the exhibition, he had another gathering to attend, mingling with industry peers.
He never liked these occasions.
The weather was a bit gloomy again, and he listened absentmindedly to the gossip from the financial circle beside him.
But the people at the gathering were very concerned about his situation, often steering the conversation towards him.
Pon understood.
After all, besides being the boss of “THE ONE,” his more prestigious identity was that of the young master of the Aiemkumchai Group.
So wherever he went, he couldn’t escape the halo of his family, and everyone he met had to show him some respect.
It was all riding on the coattails of his siblings.
So he smiled politely and made some irrelevant comments.
Finally, after enduring the gathering, Pon decided to stay at the hotel nearby for the night.
He had a bit to drink, not really drunk, but his steps were a bit unsteady.
The secretary only escorted him to the hotel, and he sent him away.
Now he regretted it a bit, thinking he should have asked the secretary to buy some hangover medicine and bring him a cup of honey water.
But calling the hotel’s room service would work just as well.
Pon tapped his room card on the door, making a heavy click as the wooden door swung open.
But the room was brightly lit, devoid of any tranquility.
Pon keenly heard some movement inside.
He became alert, not immediately entering, but the commotion inside seemed to be getting louder.
Wouldn’t a five-star hotel have better security than this?
He placed a hand on his phone, ready to dial the emergency number.
But soon, he stopped.
The “thing” causing the commotion in the room revealed its true identity.
It turned out to be a young man, wearing a bathrobe with a dazed expression.
